some little mods from littlemssam, like to change Sims into their everyday where when they come inside from the snow
Same. I don’t know how people don’t look to mods to fix nonsense like sims leaving their winter clothing on inside. As soon as I installed Seasons and saw that happen I closed the game and went mod hunting.
Because it's literally not that hard to click "change outfit"? I don't need mods for every single little thing.
It’s not that hard, but these are supposed to be the smartest sims ever and I like to allow them some level of autonomy. Having to micromanage what they’re wearing every time they go in and out (which is a lot in this game) doesn’t constitute worthwhile gameplay to me. It also makes the thermostat essentially useless.- I just downloaded a couple mods. One to enable kids to quit school, because school is meaningless in the sims right now. No consequences/rewards. One to turn off the ingredients requirements, one to make writing and painting and fishing , just a little bit faster and monster under the bed defenders. As I said before I like the practical simple mods.

Mods make the games better. Didn’t use very many in Sims 2 or 3, but with 4 I have a ton of mods because it’s just a pain to play without them.
In some aspects I see where you are coming from looking at the amounts of bugs this game is generating and it can be an pain but if an mod fixes it and you enjoy the game then your post makes an good point. Some people say why play it if it causes you pain, the reason is simple If I paid money for this game and I do not play even if mods are out to make it better I just thrown my money out the window if using those mods eases the pain again I can enjoy the game until EA/Maxis does something to break those mods. - I Have a huge bug which is by i removed cc for random. i want to turn it back since i have just sims with teeth, its even worse then before. BUT everything i tried its still the same. Please someone help :(
- MidnightAura867 years agoSeasoned AceI have been known to try mods. My game is currently vanilla as I haven’t kept up to date with the latest updates and whilst the game is in progress it’s a pain to keep up with. When the sims 4 completes I think mccc will be essential. I wonder how many would play without mods?Going by the figures, not many. Says a lot about the game.
- TS2, can't play without a ton of Pescado's mods or it drives me insane with how many things just don't work quite the way I feel they should. TS3, the NRAAS suite is practically a requirement to make the game even functional.
In TS4, I use MCCC to add story progression for inactive households, to keep the world feeling alive but I could play without it...I'd just go back to being rotational like how I played TS2. I do prefer not to though so use MCCC. The mods I feel are really required for me in TS4 are the various Bienchen and LittleMsSam's mods that fix the 100+ 'annoying things' in the game, similar to how Pescado's fix the annoyances in TS2.
While I am definitely a huge fan of Sims games...there hasn't been one since the original that I would have continued playing long-term if it wasn't for mods. - simwolf797 years agoNew AceI use mods and have many of them, but I select only what I want to customise a particular save... sometimes that means none, other times it might mean the whole lot :D For me one of the utter joys of The Sims 4 is the ability to customise the game however I want it and when I want.

- I go back and forth on whether or not I want to use mods, but I think overall I enjoy playing vanilla more. I like that I can share any of my lots and sims to the gallery and make them available for anyone. I also like the challenge of having to work with what’s available - it makes me feel more creative. I find that when I have a bunch of cc, I’ll only use the cc and neglect the paid for content.
Also, I truly struggle to find cc that is truly maxis match. Even the best items don’t seem to fit in just right, and that bothers me.
That being said, I have a huge amount of respect for the modding community, what they do is awesome and I think that their creativity is stellar. I just like to keep it simple
