- ChampandGirlie4 years agoNew SpectatorI use it to set up the game in the way that I want. I'm not constantly using it though. Now I play with a lot of established families, so I use it less.
- moppy14w4 years agoSeasoned NewcomerSo far, seems pretty 50/50. :o
- Prefer using the money cheats cause 20k isn't enough after buying a house only may be left with 719 dollars? Then what heck do buy even everything over the 2k mark? only give them 50k is enough put stuff in it sure not maybe not realism, but no one buys a house in the real-world for 20k only left with stuff already that already been used or nothing in it. After finished with the house maybe left under 10k I tired of doing no money cheat got fed up after the first try.

Motherlode?
Mostly, yes. It depends on the reasons. If you're just using it to pay bills and avoid a career, meh. But if you're starting a sim out in a later life stage, certainly they've been through college and worked for a number of years. They would have both money and happiness points saved up. In which case, I don't consider it cheating, merely being realistic. An adult with 0 money or happiness just isn't realistic (under normal circumstances). An infant or child, sure. There's also your intended story. Are they the sole survivors of somebody who left them an inheritance? There are a lot of reasons to award both money and happiness in excess of what the game gives you to start with.- At first, I was all "motherlode motherlode motherlode" but after nearly a year of playing TS4 I have finally gone full no money cheats. It's pretty easy to get your sims skills and career up high enough to afford luxuries, it just takes a little more time.
- Strictly NO for my generational play. Even their houses started from small & I keep on renovating whenever they have the money. I'm proud to say that, even until the 4th generation, I haven't used any money cheats on my generational play.
- VWoodsong4 years agoSeasoned ObserverI've already done the full non-cheating save, and that was that. Thinking about it now, I still don't use very many money cheats, but I don't hesitate to do so whenever I feel inclined. It's true that it isn't difficult to make money but nonetheless it's also true that there are many other things I'd personally rather spend my time on in the game.
- Kimmer_one4 years agoSeasoned TravelerThe only money cheat I use is freerealestate on for Sims that I place in world but I'm not planning on playing. I also used it on my Paranormal Stuff test Sims because I didn't want to test it in a tiny starter house, I used the hounted house that came with the pack. I did delete all the money from the Sims, though, to make the game at least a little bit more challenging. I'm also planning to pay for the house later if I decide to continue playing with those Sims after I'm done with the testing.
Using money cheats makes the game boring for me. I love it when my Sims earn their own money and start being able to buy things and upgrade their house etc. Getting rewards from leveling up on a career also feels great.
I used money cheats in one save when I started playing Sims and everything felt so easy and sending my Sims to work was meaningless. I got bored and started another save without cheats and I loved it. I will never use money cheats again, unless it's required on challenges that I do. "Ellupelluellu;c-17792558" wrote:
I actually use money cheat, but for reducing their money.
I believe I did that as well some four generations down my main save. Now that they allow us to select how much money is transferred into a "split" household, I can just let the non-heirs move out with $250k each.
As for myself, the more money my sims have, the more boring the game is. As a result, I often go for 2-3 kids in my main save so the mother has something to do staying home while the father works.- There are only 2 options. I've answered "No, challenge is important" because it is what is more like how i play. But i do use money cheats, just only to decrease money, never to increase...
