As impressive as the game's microscope and observatory are, I really miss the tabletop microscope and tripod telescope. And their considerably more-affordable pricing.
Perhaps we could add "normal" versions, and use them for observation (to raise logic and perhaps trigger "discovery" things like finding new stars and planets in TS2 did), but restrict the slides/photo plates (for the relevant Collections) to the larger models, with the explanation that they have the added hardware to analyze things and produce such prints. This would keep relevance to the larger versions, while offering the smaller ones for budget-minded non-collectors who just want to raise logic.
