Mother Plant Different Solution

As far as I know there is only one way to end the story: beating the mother plant. You can befriend the mother plant but the story doesn't advance that way. You don't have to finish the story. There is no penalty for not ending the story. But you will stay 'stuck' in whatever part of the story you are in when it comes to the weirdness level of the world and the amount of infected sims.

I finished off the mother plant in my game and then revived it with a bizarre fruit. The revived mother plant can be befriended, give gifts and allows the player to set the level of weirdness of their choice.

Nope, you have to defeat it.

Though after you have defeated and revived it, you can set the stage in StrangerVille story freely, so feel free to then befriend the Mother Plant.

I decided to defeat her as I got tired of my sims having to clear the vines out of the pluming items. Whew!!!!!! That was just too much work and not enough play so she had to go!! ! LOL!! :o

I have revived the mother plant (after defeating) and set a level of spore infection that I wanted to have.

Interesting, I didn’t know you could befriend it after beating it.
