So I think the “mourning” system is goofy and kind of inappropriate. This is what just recently happened is a vampire, that neither of my sims knew, was breaking in to suck their plasma while they were asleep. So I used MCCC to kill the vampire sim “death by sun”; this is all happening while both sims are asleep. Reaper comes and takes dead vampire’s soul, end of story. They didn’t witness the death or any of the events after, so why in the-sim-name are they mourning this plasma-suckers death, and for two days?! What even bothers me more is everybody is sending them condolence texts because of the death of a “LOVED ONE”! I did them a favor, they should be thankful. And this isn’t the first time this has happened.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense, especially when the person who died is brought back to life via a successful plead. Most insensitive text was 'I'm sorry for your loss, let's talk about it at Hogan's Burger Bar' or something along those lines.

I don't play any supernaturals, but I still might just click away the mourning moodlet (UI cheat). Playing rotationally just 1 day per house per year, there is no time for mourning unless it is part of a story etc.

I've recently had funnier. The ghost of the deceased sim goes around trying to cheer everyone up. Then goes and woohoos with his elder wife, who's still alive. Got an achievement I didn't know about, that way. :D "Woohoo with a ghost"

It kinda ruins it for me when a sim's friend/love one dies and then moments later, they text or call you. I also remember a time when sims would just stand quietly and mourn a sim that just died that no one knew personally rather than everyone drowning the entire lot in tears, lol.

I agree, that's a bit weird. Or then like as a ghost they phone you, "Hey! There is something going on at the park, want to go check it out?" :D

My Sim's mum's ghost is constantly texting him, asking if he wants to go to a restaurant. Um, slight problem with that... XD
