Much Ado About Cowplants …

At first I was excited about finding a Cowplant seed in the rare seeds packet. But, Bossie, or more aptly put Beastie, is not a nice plant — at all. It refuses food when offered, only to later dangle that all-too-tempting piece of cake from its tongue. Sadly, two of my Sims have already 'fallen' for the trap. Happily, they have been thrown back up again. But the first essence was Louise's Anger and the second was Joey's Inspiration. I left the glasses on the kitchen Island, and so far, no takers. Well, I sent the family off to services since it's Sunday morning. And I decided to check on said plant-based Cow. I quickly noticed her utter was quite full, so I checked each of my Sims' icons to see who is drained. It's Joey once again. Face/palm. Give the guy a break, okay? Must have happened when the eldest kid was visiting the Clinic. Given that Joey was none too thrilled from his first escapade into the belly of a plant (thinking now of changing his name to Jonah, of Biblical fame) I can see mayhem breaking out. Is there a way to kill a Cowplant? Or at least uproot it? I do know Brianna will be quite incensed over it. She sees the alien plant as her pet and since there are no other 'animals' about their house, I can see why. Somehow, I don't think a fish tank will do … The first Cowplant I had in this game eventually died, despite the care and feeding it got. Brianna and her mother, however, are very diligent about the gardening.

What to do. At least my Global Superstar is smart enough to give the thing a wide berth. If Bossie were to eat him, I think I'd go right through the screen and throttle it! LOL

Any and all advice is welcome. Please, and thank you, in advance.

  • Okay, now I'm really miffed. Stupid plant just turned on Brianna. She winked out for a moment, then I found her upstairs. She is drained from the Cowplant. Gr. I may just uproot the beastie. I am no longer having fun with it.
  • Yep, they're annoying and I can only handle so much goofiness in my game. I always sell them right after they grow for the botanist aspiration.

I just thought of a devious way to remove said plant-based cow from my game. When I was originally trying to preserve it since the Teens are all set to age up in the next Sim week in my game and off to Uni they shall go, was to make a copy of it, add it to an empty room and then upload the room to my library. I've got the copy preserved. However, the first time I moved it, I grabbed the plant itself, without the box. What if I did that again, only placed it into the natural springs spa the family has. I could either see what happens or just delete the spa. Oh, I'm not usually this devious. LOL But, I'm really ticked off at the Beast from rhymes with swell.
