The infants come in a basegame patch, then the new expansion adds to them. :)
Okay, I'm caught up... I think. ?- Luvtehgeeks3 years agoSeasoned VeteranLol if you want her to have some form of employment she could do the streamer or programmer, still work from home and watch the kiddo's
- So you look at her habits and decide with them in mind?
I've always just forced them to do what I want instead of what they seem interested in. So I was curious to see how in depth my fellow Simmers get when deciding what life a sim will live. If that makes sense. - Luvtehgeeks3 years agoSeasoned VeteranThat's how I play it except for my mad scientist bit whether she likes it or not but when they roll a wish for something different I let them change it up, I'm to much of a mom to force them into a life they don't want LoL.

Vitalia Remero is about to age up so I'm trying to decide what she wants out of life.
I know it's up to me but it got me thinking. How do you all decide your sims' future at this stage?
I look at what traits/skills they have, any likes/dislikes or lifestyles they acquired, clubs they joined and actually participated in etc and decide on a teen (or or 1st adult) aspiration based on those. So a child that joined a music club, likes singing or gained high creativity via instruments/karaoke might get the Musical Genius aspiration, but one who spent time being social with friends might go for a more social aspiration.
I do the same thing when aging to YA or choosing a degree or job.
If there are several possibilities from the info I gather, I put them in a randomiser and let fate decide. - manicobsessive13 years agoSeasoned AceIn the last few years, my playstyle has changed from spending ages building (more renovating. I'm not much of a builder), making a Sim, playing for about 2 Sim days and getting bored, to playing in live mode more than anything else. Because of this I have SO much in the game to explore, including a ton of careers, so In my head I kinda have a few generations planned out!
For example, in my legacy save, I started off with a farmer/painter living in Henford on Bagley. She met a local, got married and had a little girl. The vet career is one of the careers I wanted to try, and because she would love animals having grown up with them, this made a ton of sense for her. She now is running her own vetrinary practice.
The next career closest to that is the Doctor career. Both medical, and if your Mum was a vet, you'd grow up wanting to help people like that.
The next child might rebel and want to be a famous actress and not have a 'secure and sensible' job. This is how my gameplay is going to be working I think. - Spoiler

I can see how that makes sense. I too have a lot to explore. With her, I think maybe a location aspiration. Both of her parents are celebrities and she's in and out of the spotlight. Her little brothers, though have shunned the spotlight altogether.
So being outdoorsy and a part time streamer, I can see her using the celebritism of her parents with her streaming joy to make a career out of exploring. That could be a lot of fun! - NateWhiplash3 years agoSeasoned Veteran

Teenagers are the youngest I have in my game. But before I even create them, the game plan is always the same; flunk out of school and then hang out at the local bars

Because I refuse to take the game seriously and do what it wants me to do lol "Nate_Whiplash1;c-18232686" wrote:
