My Dude Got Un-Pregnant

So poor Camron has been abducted 3 times and came back pregnant each time. He had a procedure between the second and third abductions so that he could have a baby with Knox. This turned out to be twins!

So that's the backstory. Last simnight, Camron sat down with the family for a meal and once more the aliens called him up. He came back and after a short while started getting that familiar tummy feeling again. However, I don't know if he got the moodlet because I just assumed he had. He made woohoo with Knox before going to bed. This simmorning when he woke, I checked his moodlets and there were no strange tummy pacifier moodlets. He also hasn't had any of the tummy symptoms.

So I'm wondering if the woohoo knocked the baby out of him (don't visualize) or if it's actually a bug from City Living, Discover University, Toddler, Spooky Stuff and Eco Lifestyles that I had downloaded before this last encounter.

Anyone else have their dude get un-pregnant? I haven't found any bugs about it so I'm not quite ready to call it a bug; not just yet.
  • Wow, follow up:

So apparently I just didn't wait long enough because he just got that weird tummy feeling again. Still no moodlet though... Still, has anyone ever had their dude get un-pregnant?
  • I don't have much experience in alien abduction babies, only two of my guys have had them. Of the two, both didn't get any moodlets, only a thought bubble with a rattle until after a couple days when they got a visible bump. After that, they got the moodlet countdowns. Prior to that, their stomach would glow and they'd look down at it with concern, but that's it.

I know female Sims can take pregnancy tests, can abducted males take one too? I've always wondered about that.

  • Yes, this seems to be the case this time with him but for all of his previous pregnancies, it was pretty quick that he got the moodlet
  • As I mentioned earlier, this time there was almost a full 24 hours between his first two episodes. Now, they are coming more quickly. He's in his second trimester.
  • No, male sims can not take pregnancy tests, trust me, he has checked many times. lol
  • @VeeDub oh they can take pregnancy tests if they get pregnant without abductions. All you have to do is go into CAS by choosing "Change Sim" on the dresser then go into the preferences thing up in the left corner under the name. It's a part of the traits screen and looks like 3 dots, I think. There you can choose clothing style (masculine or feminine), whether the sim can pee while standing, body type (masculine or feminine) and/or can get others pregnant or can get pregnant. But there is no option to do both of any of those options.

If your sim can get pregnant, they will not get pregnant from abduction that only happens if they can not get pregnant by other sims. So if you make your male sim able to get pregnant and they do, then they can take the pregnancy test. It's just not an option for abductions.
  • No. For the record, the only dudes in my game that ever get preggars, is if and when they get abducted by aliens and the rising moon aligns just so and he comes back in the family way …

I've never had a dudette get un=pregnant, either.
  • Yeah my poor guy is always pregnant. And like I said in my follow up post, after nearly 24 hours since his first uneasy feeling it had another one. And every time he goes to visit the aliens, I watch him like a hawk upon his return. This was the first time that he ever took so long between uneasy feelings so I thought I'd found a bug.

Fortunately this is not the case and he is just stoically handling his business. I guess practice makes perfect. lol

As for the rising moon... well apparently it is sitting static over Camron's house. I used to feel sorry for him but now I just laugh at his predicament. After all, he's a scientist so experiments happen I guess.

  • This I did not know. I've used MCCC for so long to let my same-sex couples have babies that I forgot what vanilla was like, lol. In my case, any pregnant sim, male or female, can take pregnancy tests.

I was aware of the custom gender options; I've used them before to make transgender sims. But I either forgot or didn't know that you couldn't take pregnancy tests for abduction cases. Learn something new every day. :)
  • Lol yep. Same here, except I don't learn something new; I learn many things new. lol
