Building muscles isn't the priority on a fat sim, at least right away. it is better to get the weight down first, creating a diet plan, and then slowly easing the larger sim into exercise machines and other physically demanding tasks so they burn off the fat and build muscles over time without causing a heart attack or hypertension in the process.
it is all about losing the fat at first so their bodies can deal with the demands of exercise a lot easier as opposed to asking a fat sim with no muscles to start lifting weights right away and potentially kill them by pushing them too hard too fast, it would be too greater shock to the body to manage. One needs to be eased into it until the body can manage the demands and adapt to what is being asked of it."sueplayssims;c-17248378" wrote:
Try jogging or running on a treadmill and when your Sims hunger bar is full, direct them to stop eating.
There are also foods that are higher in calories than others on TS4 so go for lower calorie options (a quick search online will give you a list).
It takes a bit of time but is definitely achievable to get Sims to slim down a bit.
that isn't right as you'd be eating the wrong food and building bad fats on your body that will just sit there.
this isn't how any of this works
not even in real life
So what is your take on how a fat person should get fit? simply stating i'm wrong isn't enough, if you got your opinion on the matter i wanna read about it.
In terms of the game, it makes no difference whether you choose to have your sim burn fat or build muscle first. Most of the muscle-building tasks won't even help them lose weight tbh And overexertion is only a concern for elders.
In terms of the other stuff you said; no, pretty much anyone trying to lose weight should also focus on strength training, not only because just having muscles burns calories. but also because they enable you to burn more yourself (it doesn't work that way in the game anyway tho). and eating macaroni & cheese isn't going to deposit fat onto your body that will "just sit there," it can be burned off for fuel like most of the rest.
And good and bad fats? saturates are ones to avoid when going for a healthy lifestyle and those are the hardest to get rid of compared to good fats.
Saturated fats is no longer considered bad it's and old study just like egg yolk keep being demonized, sat is a neutral since it also boosts testosterone which in turn helps build more muscle, what you really mean is a transfat where it came from the supposedly good fats (poly and mono), what @Cupid state about fat people need to do strength training as well as cardio is correct- Sorry i wasn't around most of yesterday to respond back.
It seems i'm getting bad advice from friends again and they are likely to get an ear full, i'll have to go check out proper facts when time permits and make sure that doesn't happen again. thanks for the correction. - DeKaythePUNKSeasoned VanguardIt's harder to lose weight in real life, man. If you have Cool Kitchen get the ice cream that makes sims thin, easy. - If you use aspiration perks you can buy the insta-lean drink as well.

If your Sim is happy then let the fat roll. So what if it takes them all day to walk from one end of park to the other. I gave up on the loosing weight.
It's difficult to make a cuddly fat Sim in Sims 4. All the old ladies look like old men with beer bellies.
I wouldn't worry too much about a bit of fat as apparently fatter people are more likely to survive cardiac arrests. Which makes me wonder why worry about weight anyway. Diabetes seems to be in the genes as my family have never suffered from it fat or thin and both weights lasting til their nineties. I saw some really thin old ladies yesterday who were both having to use sticks to help get them around very slowly. I saw lots also of old fatter ladies waddling around without them, so it is all level in the end. (I'm one of the latter, not waddling yet though) :) - Diet ice cream works instantly on my Sims. Some of them looked nearly anorexic after a couple of bowls.
Dance workout on the tv. A few rounds of that and they drop pounds quick.
Yoga. The mat is amazing, if you do a routine or two every day your Sim will stay fit and it is easy on the elder Sims.
Wall climb. This works great and the animation is fun to watch.
I think the trick is also to do both workout routines, the first and then the second one that says "push the limits".
I built a spa on the top level of my gym, so that if they get sore at the gym, they can get the "sports massage" and it instantly clears the red moodlets. - Garden Salads only, and Treadmill or just jogging for slimming down. Works for me.?
