My sim is pregnant!

Yes, you heard me right, My sim is indeed pregnant. I will have her give birth at home. I have heard of different sims having different pregnancy lengths.

Having the pregnancy waddle that early though I think is unrealistic. She looks more like she is in the third trimester and the first trimester looks like the second trimester. I can't believe how big a sim will get in the third trimester.

It looks like they made pregnant sims look like they are carrying twins when they could be carrying a single baby or triplets.

Personally, IRL, I was showing way more than that by 20 weeks and looked like that triplet woman carrying just one baby. Women carry very different ways. I think you'll find that that's true in Sims 4, too - different Sims show differently! One of the things that, having been there done that a few times, I really appreciate :)

^^ what TPAM said. I've had sims barely show at all in the first trimester, and others look like they're having multiples (but it's only one). It definitely depends on the Sim, just like IRL.

Same here. With one of my recent Sim pregnancies, I kept checking to make sure she was even pregnant because she hardly showed. Others have huge bumps. I love the diversity of the bump sizes and the postnatal weight gain.

I like Sims 4 in that they don't change into those weird maternity clothes. I also like the bump sizes in Sims 4. Sims 3 pregnancies were crazy, by the time they'd be in labour and heading to hospital they often looked like they were barely pregnant at all!
I also like that female Sims can carry on working, and that you don't have to spend Simoleons and hire a nanny, the babies/toddlers automatically go to day care for free.

Does anyone know why my Nanny will not care for both of my babies? I had twins but only one is being cared for. The other is left on her own! Mommy had to care for her AND throw big sis a birthday party and it's not going well! Also...5 girls...no boys. Ugh...

I remember I was able to hire two nannies for both childrens couple years ago and they even stayed the night's. It looks like this option is gone for a while now and nannies became useless. I even lost 1 child because I was relying on nanny to take care of my triplets.

Same here. I looked like I was having twins when I only was pregnant with one.
Also it depends on the sim's physical appearance at least from what I have seen. If they are large they don't really show but if they are athletic or thin they look like they are getting a muffin top.

Was that your first baby, or a subsequent baby? You're quite right about all babies (even with the same mother) being carried differently. In most cases, however, many women aren't even privy to the fact they're pregnant in that first trimester. My mother looked to be close to her third trimester with my younger sister, by Christmas. Baby was born in June. :o But, sister was the fourth pregnancy, although Mom lost her second baby. I have to admit that with my fourth pregnancy (having also suffered a miscarriage previously), I had to wear pregnancy pants before I'd even had the doctor confirmed what I knew to be true. LOL But I never waddled until around the third trimester. ;)

Hey, hey, hey, let's not knock having five girls, now. My daughter in RL just had her fifth daughter. Just change the daddy's name to Tevye and have him sing Fiddler on the Roof! LOL Ooh, I may just have to call my son-in-law Tevye. Won't that be a hoot.
