Not doomed. Buy the bassinet yourself and you should get a "have baby" óption if you click it.

Yeah probably :/ and the game Is quite buggy right now so I wouldn't be surprised. However try to look for an answer and if I find anything that might help Ill let you know

I had the same problem. My Sim went into labor, right before work. She went to work by herself (without me directiring her to). When she got back, the husband went into pre parental panic, but she wasn't even in labor anymore. She was still in her 3rd trimester, just not in labor. I waited 1 or 2 Sim days (don't remember), but finally ended up resetting her. She went into labor immediately and without any further glitches. The "father" also had another round of pre parental panic, but the baby was glitch free, and so was the rest of the family after the reset.

I haven't tried to reset her yet... You'd think that would've been my first idea. I'll give that a go as well.
