- I hope they can't be given the medicine bottle. Easy game mechanics are good for something like this (and it sounds like the apple juice is an easy remedy... thanks for that insight @SageRainWillow ) but I would be iffy about being able to throw a medicine bottle at a child that young.
- EmmaVane8 years agoSeasoned VeteranTry transferring medicine to the toddler's inventory by dragging it from the mother's inventory to the toddler or toddler's icon in skewer. Once it's in their inventory see if they have an option to use it.
If they can't take medicine then try drinks, naps and baths (this last for itchy/feverish symptoms).
Keep in mind that child sims with visible symptoms like headaches or dizzy spells can't actually take medicine unless they have a moodlet saying they are sick. Adults can drink it any time, but it leaves them Dazed if they don't have the moodlet. - EmmaVane8 years agoSeasoned Veteran

The return of the Chicken soup would be great! Does anyone know if you can give the toddlers tea?
If so, I know that you get a special detox tea option when your sim has a high enough wellness skill. Drinking that tea normally kicks whatever bug a sim has without needing to buy the actual medicine, so I speculate that would be an option for toddlers so long as you can specifically give them that tea.
The default "Healthy Green" tea is also a natural medicine. - elliebreton8 years agoSeasoned AceWhy bother? Not to put a damper on things, but getting sick has no effect on the sim... or at least, it never used to. Has that changed?
- In my game Emily Katherine from my Mulder Legacy is a toddler due to getting all of her missing Toddler pictures for my story/website has Not been sick at all due to how much apple juice she was drinking I guess it is true Apple juice a day keeps the doctor away lol

Has anyone else had a sick toddler? She's kinda cute with the stripes.

I think it's weird that a sick Toddler sim when sick should get tiger stripes.
To be honest, I had to read the other posts to see if you were joking, cause it looks like the kind of look you (can) find in Face Paint; thought maybe there was some kind of Toddler body paint thing lol...- Too freaking cute XD

Given the fact that this one has a bad temper all the time, I thought it was odd she was laughing and happy. Looks like a bad case of the gas and giggles. Now to find a way to cure my grump bucket...
"Grump bucket" I love it. We just call them grumpy pants around here. LOL - GalacticGal8 years agoSeasoned AceSo glad I read this thread. I now have a total of four toddlers in my game between two game saves. So far, none have fallen ill. But this is always good to know when it does crop up. :)
- For the record, it took about 3-4 apple juices over the course of two sim days to heal her. I wouldn't have known she was sick at all if it wasn't for the stripes. Having played a doctor before, I know those stripes all too well. She had a green giggly emote, but in small, red letters it said it was from illness. Definitely Gas and Giggles disease... how appropriate for a toddler lol.
The stripes went away after the first day, but she kept getting moodlets that told me she was still sick. But all is better and she's now a kid. And her twin brother never caught the bug!
