I'm doing a little moving around in my game, and as a result Willow Creek is looking a bit sparse. I have posted three pictures to show you what I ended up doing. The empty lot farthest back on the left hand side is a cemetery in my game. I've also got a lounge (music, massages, sauna, the works) and a small retail shop in my WC. I've also got a dog park but you don't have C&D so that doesn't help much. I also have a lot of nice houses, usually revolving around a specific style in each little suburb.

I like the idea of a cemetery, even though I don't have C&D yet, I'll check it out. This is not going to help with your space issue, but if you have the Kids' Room Stuff pack, you could replace the library with MaxisCreator_01's lot "Library Escape". It is the same lot just with a tiny annex for the void critter battle stations and puppet theater.

I just recently rearranged Willow Creek. I went into the gallery and found some venues to place. Rearranged them to my liking, and now my Sims have some new paces to go.I can't understand why the game doesn't create new households to fill the empty houses, when it's ticked in options to do so. My Oasis Springs is like a ghost town, it's empty! I guess that's my job to fill it up.

I'm not a very good builder so I usually get nice houses from the gallery for my families. The cemetery idea is good.Not directly related to this but Newcrest always looks rather dull in my game so I often place a public swimming pool on one of the big lots there.

My Willow Creek is looking a little empty, looking for ideas to fill some spots. (photos)

You can put more venues in such as pool, bowling (if you that), etc....I think in my world I made a wedding venue (it is set as a nightclub for now), have a cinema someone made using items from Movies stuff pack, and a spa.

I have an outdoor Spa in Willow Creek, across from the lot where the Goths live(d). I think a spa works nicely in this neighborhood. I would also suggest a retail store or bakery and perhaps a nice bar or karaoke place.

If you do, you can also create a club for sim children with activities like void critter battles, puppetry, doing homework, playing chess etc and make it their gathering spot. Makes the library more lively. :)

I'd wait and place an indoor skating rink or a ice skating rink there when Seasons comes out. I'd use that lot for a community lot rather then a residential.
