I wonder why they made the whole voidcritters something only children could enjoy. There are plenty of adult nerds (errr...I mean gamers) who enjoy that Pokemon-ish stuff and would fit right in the game. Limiting things to only children like that was a real mis-understanding of their audience. Hopefully they can modify it with a future patch so adults can play with their children and enjoy hunting for the elusive cards. The Peter Pan syndrome is alive and well. Then again I am writing this on a forum for a video game that I play myself and I am far from a child.It is kind of like saying only kids read comic books.

I'm torn - on the one hand I like that there's more unique stuff for kids to do. On the other hand, I feel like they should have at least let Childish and Geek Sims continue playing - Childish because they can play with toys as later life stages, and Geek for obvious reasons.

That's a good point. I wouldn't want to see EVERY adult and Elder plopping down and playing the games. That wouldn't be very realistic either.

They have the other games and the spa and hot tub. Don't get greedy adults.

I'm about to turn aging off in my game because I have a child sim who looooves voidcritters and she's about to age up. I'm going to be really sad when she can't play with them anymore. It doesn't make sense that teens who are childish or geeky can't keep playing. I would happily give her one of those traits when she ages up if it meant that she didn't have to give up her hobby. Hopefully there will be a mod sometime to fix this!

I'm torn - on the one hand I like that there's more unique stuff for kids to do. On the other hand, I feel like they should have at least let Childish and Geek Sims continue playing - Childish because they can play with toys as later life stages, and Geek for obvious reasons.

I think making them available for Childish or Geek adult sims is a great idea. That way it still feels like unique thing for kids, but adults aren't completely locked out of playing with them.

While I agree, a lot of adults are still into stuff like this and it'd be cool if some of them could play it too, I'm glad to get something new that's child exclusive.

It's the animations. They would have to do them to fit adults, and fit adults plus children playing together. I don't think they will spend any resources there. I personally wouldn't want them too. I think they wanted something to be added just for children.

Yeah, they can play other computer games (like MySims and Incredible Sports); kids don't get those options on the computer AFAIK (just the keyboard and arithmetic games, and I think Blickblok on the computer or the big video game platform).

On one hand exclusivity is nice but on the other hand it creates limits for Sims. It would've been nice if Childish and Geek Sims could play them too, it would add quite a bit of depth for those Traits - which I think is needed for quite a few Traits.
