- simsimsere3 years agoSeasoned AcePay attention if your played sim is in a relationship with another household who you allow to have baby. Your played sim might become a father. Mine did twice.
- cornflake893 years agoRising AceMy sim is friends with Travis Scott, he rang to ask if he should go on a date with Grace Anansi. I chose yes and it was a great date. My sim got a cupid heart buff. I'm hoping something will come of this.
Apart from a couple of fix mods I play vanilla.
I've not experienced many adoptions just a couple dogs and only Bella Goth is expecting a baby so far. It's Thursday of the first week and I feel the stories are just ticking along at a good pace :) - Anonymous3 years agoI tried it with My Households completely off, and other households have everything except move out. I like this because they stay in their houses but other homeless sims can populate the empty houses. I think this is a good solution.
- FatTribble233 years agoSeasoned AceI think I'm sensing a trend in my game. I have sim adoptions, move in and move out disabled, but everything else turned on. I have a rather low amount of sims in my game, and I've only had one death, nothing like some people are reporting, and several families are having babies. I also had 6 dogs to 1 cat, and no one has adopted a dog, but 3 families have adopted cats. I'm beginning to think the game checks for these things. If you have a lot of sims, then you're going to have more deaths. If your total sim count is low, you're going to have more babies being born. If you have 15 dogs and 2 cats, more cats will get adopted than dogs. I find this interesting and wonder if anyone else has seen anything like this.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence and I'm seeing patterns where none exist. - manzana08073 years agoSeasoned Ace

Oh my! That's one I hadn't considered yet. I like to keep lots of single Sim YA/A Townies for matchmaking possibilities, so I'll have to make sure I'm ready in case of any sudden "additions".
I just added MC back last night, but I'm only using the Main Module to customize aging, plus Dresser and Tuner. I only ever used the SP progression part of it for awhile in 2015-2016 and I did not like it.
I forgot to mention earlier, I have the Sages and NPCs like Father Winter completely disabled from Neighborhood Stories. I wonder how this affects Sims like the Crumplebottoms? - Right now everything is on for unplayed households except "move out". So I can see how it works and then turn off anything I don't like. I turned off "move out" because I like seeing the neighborhoods full, and I also don't want premades moving out of their iconic homes.
Everything is off for played households.
I am very pro-adoption in real life and my played sims adopt often, especially the same-sex couples. So I don't feel bothered by adoptions, unless it really is an excessive amount. - babajayne3 years agoSeasoned AceIt has occurred to me that since I only enable aging for unplayed households for a certain length of time in my rotations, I should only enable the neighborhood stories for that duration. So it’ll just happen one week out of 11 instead of constantly. Maybe that’ll make it make sense.
- lanlynk3 years agoLegendI had to think about my choices for a while. I read the feedback in this thread. Really helpful. Right now, I have Stories off for my played households and turned on for the others. I've disallowed accidental deaths, child adoptions, and move-outs.
I didn't take out move-ins because there are several major NPCs without homes. I'm curious to see if the game houses them or just creates random sims for empty houses. Either way, I don't have a lot of empty houses in my games, and I can always evict if I need a lot! Moving out is turned off because I don't want sims in special houses and worlds moving away to inappropriate places.
I also didn't want a bunch of random adoptions. I'd rather see genetics at work in most cases. I can add adopted children myself or play with genetics in CAS for gay couples or other special situations.
As for accidental deaths, I'm too protective of my sim worlds to have that going on! I have mods that turn of emotional deaths and a few others. I wonder how those mods would affect Stories trying to create accidents that aren't allowed by the mods. Would it be a conflict? - lanlynk3 years agoLegendI just had a thought. Has anyone seen sims being "moved in" to an existing household, or have move-ins just been into empty houses?
- hmm should i make separate save with just my self sim and see what the premades do when they're all left to their own devices free to do whatever
it could be enlightening
