Hi @JAL the bug with chefs not entering the restaurant was fixed last April in patch 1.97.42/1.73, have you experienced it since then?
The bugs with wedding arches are things that can happen if you have multiple arches on the lot.
There was an old bug with the officiant not doing anything, but it has long since been fixed.
The benches... no kidding! Why don't benches count as seating?
And yep, plants at the science lab, still broken... because all plants in the game are programmed to develop between 5:30 and 7am, when we cannot be at the science lab! it's just a design oversight that still hasn't been fixed (redesigned I guess)
I honestly don't know about the chefs, I have Carls Dine out mod and it fixed all the issues with Dine out. I don't play without it. As for the officiant not doing anything, that is still an issue in my game at least. I've never been able to make a wedding work. Before I used to enjoy them, but now I just pick say vows to get it over with as fast as possible (even with only one arch on the lot), then host a normal party or dinner for the reception. As for why the benches don't count as seating, I don't know, it's something I don't understand, but I tried it and it is true. If there are chairs around they will sit, otherwise they'll just stand around waiving their arms saying they can't, no matter how many benches on the premises. - I backup (copy) my save everytime
before I update or add packs
at least to desktop sometimes to usb
and I keep some extra older saves too in case of world end
that said I definitely need to get more recent save on usb cause I have neglected that and if my computer explodes uh welp - Still didn't fix game freezing when moving household ugh

I guess I've learned my lesson now and need to do this! Previously I only kept backups of my set-up save with all my builds in.
@MrPlumbob thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I do not save like that. I 'save as' and give each save a new number and then when I've got about 3 previous saves I delete the oldest before saving again. This means that all my current saves are only since the bug began.
I think I am lost... :( but yes, definitely lesson learned. - MrPlumbob11 months agoSeasoned Traveler

I’m sorry you lost your save. :( The missing moodlets may not have had a chance to have any bad effects in your save. I’m not sure, I guess it would depend on what your sims did. (It probably reset any pregnancies, illnesses, things on a timer) New moodlets should start appearing again for sims in your save. The patch notes didn’t say anything about this affecting previous saves (I guess the moodlets would be reset from when you played with the bug, but I’m not sure if that would cause any problems), but they did say something for one of the crystal creations glitches. (The one where sims’ bodies were changing) If they mentioned that, then I’d assume they’d also mention if it were the case for the moodlets glitch. I’m not sure. - People i need your help ! I did read carefully the patch notes and in theory it look like most the bugs have been fixed but can you confirm that For Rent and Crystal Creations work as intended now ? or should i just avoid purchasing these two packs altogether ? i have so many gameplay ideas but i just don't want add bugs or ruin my legacy save files

There are still a lot of For Rent bugs not addressed. I'd suggest having a look in Bug Reports to see if the ones that are left are enough for you to skip the pack for now. I haven't looked at the Crystal Creations bug list (if Crin's even had time to compile those), but the gamebreaking ones seem addressed now.- SheriSim11 months agoSeasoned Hotshot

Yeah the plant one really should be fixed…… even if they have to make plants develop after scientists show up…..I am glad for the speed of the last two emergency patches, thank you Dev’s.
Anyone know how the two new patches are working? Any new big bugs or anything? I too am waiting for feed back about the 2 patches before I play my crystal creations. - I haven't run into any problems, my sims are able to wear what they make without issues, and no more disappearing moodlets.
- PandoraTO11 months agoSeasoned Vanguard@SheriSim57, there might be a new bug (or possibly one that wasn't noticed until now) that is still causing distortions to sims' frames. This one is associated with the styling chair from Get Famous: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/GF-Sims-distorted-after-using-styling-chair/td-p/13549015
Someone in that thread had the good idea to ask people to check if this occurs with other cas items that you can change in live mode, for example, festival t-shirts and robo-arms. This made me think of the crystal crown, too. And what about career and after-school-activity outfits? People should test these things out and add their findings to the report. (I haven't updated, so I'm not sure how valid my own tests would be.)
