Yes! At least in my game anyway. It happened right with the update and I've tried every thing to get it back. No idea why it's gone and there was no mention in the patch notes
Dang...I wonder if anyone else noticed that this option is gone. - JustMeAlb2 years agoSeasoned AceI've never seen a "destroy object(debug)". Been looking for it in my game since I couldn't update (kept hanging). I use "Reset Object(debug)" a lot, don't recall seeing the other.

HOLD UP, I just realized that particular cheat is locked unless you use a mod to unlock it. I must've been confusing it with the reset object cheat since I don't even use mods. Idk about the situation with @JennaCCC though. ?♀️ - atreya332 years agoLegendSo first they patched in a tutorial with tutorial aspirations, then we got Emily with all her tips and now we got discovery quests? I wonder if such a heavy and on going focus on holding holding new player's hands is needed? The sims 4 base game is not that complex or definitely not difficult.
At least there are some nice bug fixes. - crocobaura2 years agoLegend

Maybe they will add more quests later on, but for gameplay. - Simmerville2 years agoLegend

I still get a green notification every time I takes a in game screenshot. It tells me where my screenshot is saved. As if I did not know that after 9 yeas and 4 trillion screenshots ... With all the RL focus on AI bots, I would expect any game to know that I no longer need that info.
Re "destroy" - I only saw it on the gravestones. Noticed it few days ago and wondered when it was added or if any NPC might actually destroy my historical gravestones randomly... - Brd7092 years agoSeasoned AceDoes Emily not do the tutorials anymore? That would explain why she is culled in my current save (I downloaded her from the gallery)

Pretty sure that Emily and her tutorial is still in the game. The Discovery Quests are their own setting as shown in the Twitter/X post image from SimsCommunity that @simgirl1010 commented above. The tutorial Emily is a whole different thing than the Emily that you downloaded from Maxis's Gallery page. The game culled her because you went over your Sim limit that you selected in the settings. - Netzspannung2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Minor gripe, but the wording "der Entdeckungsquest" in the german translation rolls up my toe nails painfully. A quest is a search (die Suche), an adventure (das Abenteuer or die Aventüre) or a task (die Aufgabe). The only word even remotely relating to questing that is grammatically male would be "der Auftrag" (another word for task). Everyone I know says "die Queste" or "die Quest".
I mean, I wouldn't say either of those things because mixing German and English is something I only do under duress, but if my life depended on it, I'd go with with "der Quest". I can't play games in German though because it looks and sounds wrong and makes me miserable, so perhaps "die Quest" is what is more common in gaming. Either way "Der Entdeckungsquest" would bother me too, just for slightly different reasons, I suppose. Glad I don't have to deal with it. :) - Superstara1402 years agoSeasoned Ace

I always use the Eco Living recycle compactor machine to get rid of things like tombstones or university diplomas (there was a bug/glitch in Discover University EP where sometimes if you didn't do all the seminary homework etc then you got more than one diploma or something like that) or some certificates if I do not want them in my game. I wish they could address the remaining tomb stone glitch after you revive a ghost Sim to life for example with Ambrosia (base game) or with the Spellcaster spell (RoM GP). Hopefully a graveyard/Grim Reaper pack is still coming in 2024 so they can fix the tombstones not disappearing bug...do we need two tombstones for one Sim really?
edit: the Diploma glitch was actually that it was missing completely after graduation! I wonder if that's been fixed already :O sorry if off topic! <3
