I really don’t understand why they keep breaking stuff up like this - - laundry, small pets, bowling, movies. I get the money aspect, and I get wanting to put out content, but come on. I adore the sims, and I would rather wait awhile for an amazing GP or EP to get everything we have now and more fleshed out without having to buy stuff packs on the side. I feel like EA is wasting time and money to re-release content we’ve had before instead of bringing new concepts to our game play.
This isn’t to say I won’t buy the new pack, because I probably will depending on the reviews, but I know they’re capable of more. Get Together blew me away at the time of its release. They need to start taking more risks and quit cutting corners.
Well a lot of people like stuff packs. For me, I like them not because of the premium objects but because of the style that we are getting. The retro style from Bowling night, and rustic style of objects in Laundry Day. Those are just the example. The problem is when they release new content, fans will complain. I remember it happening when Get Together was announced and the whole boycott The Sims 4 started to appear.
Just imagine if they announce something new to the series in an expansion pack as EP5, I bet there will be a ton of backlash from fans."lexus20;c-16361855" wrote:

A stuff pack that requires cats and dogs to play and features rodents of all things. Not, you know, bunnies, or parrots, or anything else big. No. Literal mice. Twitter reactions are very "eh" as well.
It says it requires Cats & Dogs to access all the content, as in to have access to 100% of the features, not that it won't work at all without Cats & Dogs. I think that it refers to the "Dress your Cats & Dogs" part. Probably we are getting new pet clothing and you need C&D to access Create-a-Pet, but I don't think the rodents will require the EP since they are probably just an object.
i still think this is kind of silly.- LiELF7 years agoSeasoned AceSo it's a rodent that acts like a sim? It was "partying" like a sim, talking, laughing and dancing. I have to say...I don't get it.

Where is their incentive to stop...? The percent of the community that puts their foot down is in the severe minority. Everyone just wants the new content, regardless of what it takes to get it.
No argument here. And I won’t deny that I contribute to the problem. Sometimes it’s hard not to jump at the opportunity of something new when there are so many aspects of TS4 I feel we are still missing. Nonetheless, I agree that EA will do whatever it wants regardless of what we say so long as the money continues rolling in.
Sometimes I feel like the Sims Community is the first video game community that might actually have Stockholm Syndrome, because it feels like that very desperation to have the game feel complete also helps boost their sales.- If the pack is just limited and still offers the new pets and accessories, just not cat and dog clothes, I could see it being worth it for people that are into that

Wow, this was unexpected. Maybe it's part of the new patch? Looks like we might be getting a rodent pet of some sorts, this is exciting!
are you kidding me you seriously are excited for this pack.
Why can't someone be excited? I think that's a very rude statement to make.- Kita53997 years agoNew SpectatorIt will be interesting to see what this ends up being. I would kind of like a stuff pack with a bunch of small pets, but based on what it said at the beginning it's just one new "pet". If it's just one rodent, pet clothes and patterns (both of which I haven't touched since getting C&D) then I would absolutely pass on that. :/

From Wikipedia: Well-known rodents include mice, rats, squirrels, prairie dogs, porcupines, beavers, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and capybaras. Other animals such as rabbits, hares, and pikas, whose incisors also grow continually, were once included with them, but are now considered to be in a separate order, the Lagomorpha. Partying hamsters that are cheered by musically playing sims that take turns to sit in front of the pet's cage. That's what TS4 needs, right?- Simburian7 years agoNew TravelerIt looks like a free update as it states that you need Cats and Dogs to access all stuff pack content.
To me it looks like something extra for the C&D players and a little extra for those without, plus bug repairs. Maybe this is because some players cannot install anything from C&D onwards because they cannot go 64bit?
I hope I'm right as it gets annoying paying out every few weeks. :/
