New World? what's the difference from a neighborhood?

It’s the same like all the other packs? Or are you new to the game, you can travel between “worlds”. But I honestly call them towns or cities. And the neighborhoods are the different sections of each “world”.

What you want is the way things have always worked in Sims 4. You can move seamlessly between all the worlds in the game, with no loss of relationships. You can also use the facilities in any world the same as you can in any neighbourhood in the world your Sim lives in.

Thank you fellow simmers. and AquaGamer1212, not new, been playing since original game. I just don't post very often any longer. Nor do I play the sims 4 as often as I did ts, ts2, & ts3

They started calling the neighborhoods Worlds in Sims3 and have simply carried it over to Sims4. I don't get it, in either case.

In The Sims 4, a neighborhood is an area with lots. A world is a collection of neighborhoods. Willow Creek and Oasis Springs are worlds, but that community district that contain 4 lots and where sims can go out of the lot and explore is a neighborhood.

I call them worlds.

I would've call them cities or towns, personally. They are too small to be worlds, but they are sectioned off within "the city" more like individual neighborhoods.

For some reason, I thought the devs retired the term "world" and called Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, etc Neighborhoods, and then labeled the smaller areas within as sub-neighborhoods. I didn't think TS4 used the term "worlds" anymore. Ack, I must have misread something somewhere. >.<

If using the term "world" at all, I was under the impression it would go World (includes the entire livable area of the game) > Neighborhood (Oasis Springs, Willow Creek, Windenburg etc) > Sub Neighborhood (Foundry Cove, Courtyard Lane, Parched Prospect etc).

Truthfully I think they use them interchangeably. Because I could have sworn they’ve used the term neighborhood too. But they’ve also said they made the “worlds” screen smaller so who knows? ?‍♀️

@AquaGamer1212 That's generally how I see the term used by other simmers. I remember when the game was first released there being a discussion about it on the forums, but I can't find that same discussion now. Granted, I gave up after 8 pages, so it's probably still there, I just lack motivation to continue searching for it. rofl >.<

Edit: Though on twitter they are referring to neighborhoods, so I mean, must mean they're using the term "world" for Del Sol!
