I need to split and spread out my households. I realized now that Newcrest is completely empty. So a good place to colonize, to expand to. I prefer to modify an existing house instead of building from scratch. In this case there are none. So I'm asking for suggestions on what I may be able to download for buildings. I'll need a good place maybe two for toddlers and children. Probably one for old-folks. At least one for athletic, I'm keeping my nerds close to the Calhouni mad scientist lair. Heh heh!
If anyone here in these forums, has made buildings that you uploaded to the gallery, I would love to have a look at your work, rather than just picking some at random.
A while back I had taken on a project involving Newcrest, but when I went to look up it, but the pictures were no longer showing. In the Spoiler, I will post a few of those pictures of what I had done. I had broken Newcrest down into international districts - Japanese, African, and French districts. In the Japanese district, I had a karaoke bar, restaurant, and residential homes. In the African district, I had a swimming pool, restaurant, and homes. In the French district, I had a museum, restaurant, a bed and breakfast, and a couple of mansions.

No photos to share, but a while back I made a combo restaurant/gym/bar/hotel/library called "Ladybird Landing". It should be findable under that name. I also do the 3 districts thing, lower left corner parks and other community lots, upper left private housing, right side row a mix of housing and smaller community lots of the neighborhood shop idea. Mostly just go gallery raiding, though those empty lots are great for experiments.

I used the top plot of lots as starter residentials with the right one on the corner being a park.
The line along the right are residentials but more for family type households. (I don't use this area much at all and just tend to stick households there as townies)
The lower left area is my " commercial district" and it has the gym moved from Windenburg ( I think) , a cafe, a grunge lounge, and a toddler park I built when toddler stuff came out. lol, I've never visited it since I don't play with families much at all and still haven't played toddlers to any degree. I've played a day or two in a house of them and then I go on to my other sims.
I sometimes wonder if that's why the teen turned young adult in Uni had so many issues. She had an abandoned trait and always missing attention. Maybe mom didn't look after her too well when I didn't play them.
In a save i've been running from recently, i've completely overrun Newcrest with residential lots for 15 of my own households more of less from the start. There is simply no space left in that save for anything else, even with Vampires added it hasn't helped anything.
Some houses aren't that much different from each other and others are borrowed from my own saved lots list from a while back to cut down on time spent building new ones up.
