No heatwaves/Thunderstorms in Sulani during summer/spring?

I started out in Winter in Sulani, and it was then I was getting this in the middle of the season. I play on the longest season settings.

This. I’m pretty sure they just took the thunderstorms and strong rain and called it a monsoon. Sigh.

This is very disappointing if its true

Idk to me the monsoon was a bit different than the thunderstorm. Less lightening/thunder, rain amount was similar. The most interesting is how it only lasts like two sim hours and then the sun comes out completely. It’s kind of a cool transition. And then in may rain with the sun out lightly off and on the rest of the day.

This is my experience as well, although I’ve only had one monsoon day so far (fall just started). I liked how it wasn’t all day thunder and lightning and then a clear ish afternoon.

Ive gone through 24 days of summer and all have been merely warm. I want a heatwave! They live on a beach and they can never sunbathe in the evening becase its too cool

I’ve had monsoons (ETA: not typhoons, my bad) in fall and winter. They just seem like thunderstorms to me.

In my game it rained so much in the winter, and a bunch so far in spring. I had a few thunderstorms in the winter, but no monsoon so far. I’ve only played the last three days of fall into about the first week of spring (I have 14 day seasons). I’m rather annoyed because it’s been cool most of the time, and my Sim can’t do much on the island without turning blue. I think I’ve only seen one hot day, and a handful of warm ones. :/

@kalaksed , I liked your explaimation of it. However, there another part to the moonsoons, there is virtually no movement in the rain bands except for the outflow boundry of other storms. I sit hear in my apartmentent and watch the storms gather strength dump rain and rise move a few incches and do it again. Also, I live in a high desert. I like the monsoons rains they are warm compared to are winter counterpart.

Edit: I almost forgot the time the islands tend to get heat waves is when the wind shifts from coming off the sea to coming off the land.

I have seen rainfall in Sulani in the spring — I actually had sun showers once. I have also had monsoons more than once in the summer.

These did come with lightning and very intense rain (which looked amazing over the deep water), and a lightning bolt from one of these once struck my sim’s deck and burned up a meditation stool. Afterwards, there was always a beautiful rainbow. It admittedly did rain more often in the fall and winter.
