That's interesting. I never thought to build friendship by building romance. Does building romance increase the friendship bar as well?

Now i may miss it but when those calls were there i hated them ?

I miss the windenburg parties, the san myshuno festivals and especially the calls inviting you to events later in the day where you had tiime to prepare - like the opera rabbithole (also city living) and the blind dates from get famous (if you had high or low reputation). ANd I am sad we never get invited to NPC birthday parties any more - if you were good friends you used to always go to unplayed sims birthdays. :(
They should have just toggled phone calls rather than nerfing paid for features. But not surprised they did the same to aliens and vampires too.

It makes it very hard to play challenges like Drifter where you have to wait for a phone call inviting you off lot.

Many complained that they were too often, which they were. Yet, I think they went too far in the opposite direction. Haven't gotten a one since the pre-SW GP patch that was supposed to "reduce" them.

Yea a lot of people have a problem with the pack prices but I don't because it's totally optional. You can pay, not pay or wait for a sale. No one is forced no matter if it's 1000 dollars a pack. That was free will. What I DO have a problem with is nerfing of paid for features. That feels totally wrong. If you can't toggle don't nerf it. I still have an old video somewhere of sims dropping dead for my celebrity and I was basking in it. It was amazing. If I didnt want that I could go out in disguise.

Now sims barely acknowledge my celebrity and I'm a global super star!!!
They were literally screaming over me and fainting ????
People complained and they nerfed it. But I paid for that.....? ok I'm done. Had to get that out ? I think this hit me even harder than the vampire nerf

Sorry for the late reply, the big ones, like First Kiss and Ask to be Girl/Boyfriend bump up friendship and a couple others do. And Enchanting Introduction bumps up friendship more than Cheerful Introduction. Also, sims generally seem to build friendship faster when feeling flirty.

So if the target sim isn't unflirty its usually faster. Unflirty may be my favourite trait, because of how it makes romancing sims more difficult
