Yes it was definitely nerfed. Sure you get a few fans here and there but it's NOTHING like before. I was here when it happened because I brought the pack upon release. I took videos to show to my sister how crazy they were going for my 5star celebrity.
I rarely ever take videos but I got a video of this because I was so shocked/excited!! I swear I'm gonna hunt it down and post it one day? I thought my celebrity was broken for the longest time. I reset his fame over and over and even started over from scratch because it wasn't like a "true" celebrity anymore.

I had to go out in disguise just to live and that was exciting. I had a stalker breaking into my house and some how even got through my fence. Adopted an aggressive guard dog lol. None of that is a reality anymore. People complained it was too much. It was toned down during a patch and this is the result ?
Boring regular ol 5 stars who get treated like a 1 or 2 star.
I will NOT stop crying for my celebrities. I brought the pack to experience the life of fame and I had a blast with it. Could easily opt out.
This feels really unfair.

I don't even use my disguise anymore. That's how regular my sim is now.

Most often it's Child Sims who approach for an autograph, at least in my game.

I can give an autograph, but the aspiration says I have to be asked for one. Just giving an autograph to a fan does not seem to satisfy the aspiration. I have my Sim pursuing by going to clubs and seeing his fans. Also, I think it's been nerfed. Just as an example: There used to be 4-5 paparazi in my game outside a club, and now there's maybe 2.

Hmm. Good luck. It's odd that you haven't been asked once. I haven't noticed any serious nerfing as my celebs are still harassed for autographs every time they leave their home lot (going to the beach, the park, the museum, etc.). I haven't really taken her to clubs, though, but it is annoying (as intended) and I think I need the disguise if she gains anymore fame.

I have 1 star celebrities and I haven’t noticed any fans yet, I figured that didn’t start till you got much higher. But, I sure hope it’s not nerfed in my game. I find it hard to move them up ( at least for those that aren’t actors ). I’m sure there are many tricks I am missing.

It's actually pretty hard to move up. (I like the challenge) what really helped me was using a Droid while going about my sims like. I mean a drone ?? I had like 3 of them.

Yep, you click on the mirror to use it. But every celebrity has to use the same disguise. :|

My sim is just a teen in high school (and not an actress). She will age up very soon though. But if you have a sim consistently do something that generates fame like write songs or books and then go out in public and perform, it's not too bad to generate fame. I agree that the drone helps a lot. What does your sim do to be famous? Do you take them to the awards? Even if you don't get notified about being nominated in the mail... if your sim has done something, they may win.

My poor Global celebrity can't even give away her autographs, NPC's keep rejecting them. Like uhm what?? I need to complete an aspiration confound it all! Who demanded a nerf to this feature?? Sad to see that non-occult gameplay gets turbo nerfed as well. xP

I don't recall any aspiration that calls for a Sim to be asked for an autograph. Which aspiration are you attempting to achieve, if I may ask? I'm totally perplexed this is happening to you.

No, I haven’t taken them to awards yet. Last I played them they were on vacation in Mt. K. One is an Athlete ( my baseball player ), and one is in the media profession ( his gf ). I have mostly been using the phone and computer to increase their fame ( posting social media stuff ). But I did recently hear about the drone and the video machine combo and plan to attempt that at some point.’ I have never tried to use either yet, I also have a musician I plan to move up, but the music platform object that came with city living did not work correctly last time I tried to use it ( both in the city, and on lots I have put it on ). The funny thing is NPC’s can still use it, but not my sim when I direct him to. I will check that out again next time I play home and see if the updates may have fixed it. I did notice that writing songs will help my musician too. I play rotationally, and currently I was trying to raise dollars with the family I am moving to the country, and working on HoB lots.

But, I am glad it is not super easy to get famous. It makes it more challenging. I avoid fame interactions on those I don’t care for gaining it.
