No potion making on Uni dorms. It's considered cooking.

I don't understand why even have that restriction. I may look for a mod because so many dorms have kitchens irl.

It's really odd.
I wonder what is the issue with sims cooking in dorms.
If it's because they want us to use the commons they should get that right out of their heads.
We should be able to play how we like.

If it's because of sims bringing in food, they should nix that too.
It looks like a problem to me with all the unneeded food rotting in the dorms.

I think it’s because they roommates could burn down the place or something idk

I don't think you can start fires with the cauldron though it should be allowed.
I've already adjusted though.

My sims will just zip off to the magical realm and use the cauldrons there. Now I have another reason to go there.
They will store extra potions and ingredients in the room of requirement and leave them behind for anyone who follows.
Even if I don't have magical sims in the dorms, I should have a nice supply of useful potions to give to my muggle sims. :)

Exactly. It's wierd to have restrictions in a sandbox game.

I never liked the cauldron was also used for cooking mac and cheese.
It was annoying that my sims were constantly making the stuff.

Now with this extra annoyance I really hate cooking with the cauldron. :s

Ugh I really wish they didn't make mac and cheese in the cauldron. I know sims are quirky but that totally kills the dark witch vibe for me everytime lol ???? if anything they should be brewing herbs?

Make sure you add one of the portals to the realm in a prominent place.

Can I toss one in the room. Probably too tall and wide.

If they were worried about fires breaking out I don't know why the devs didn't just fireproof the dorm lots instead of restricting us. ??‍♂

Or giving us a "fireproof" lot trait.

In TS3 University sims in dorms are always starting fires, but I'd rather have that and deal then not have a kitchen at all. I'd just want a kitchen in my sims room and lock the door of I don't want to deal with fires caused by roommates ??‍♀️
