No Welcome Wagon

I have moved a few of my Sims from a household to their own house in other towns and also added some residents to my San M. apartment building, but the Welcome Wagon isn't coming anymore. I used to like that feature--do the neighbors only show up under certain circumstances? I like it because you get to find out a big about your immediate neighbors. I recently moved a couple of mine to Forgotten Hallow, but no one showed up to welcome them to the neighborhood.

I think it only happens to a household that is added for the first time to the game, not when moving from one lot to the other.

You know funny I moved a sim into brindleton bay recently in a brand new save. No welcome wagon. Thought it was odd since I get them in all other neighborhoods.

One of my sims who moved out of his parents' house got a welcome wagon in San Myshuno. Unless you'd consider him now living by himself as an entirely new household that has been technically 'added for the first time'. Come to think of it, I've never actually moved entire households to new lots.

Even when I have just created a new household, sometimes the welcome wagon doesn't come, sometimes it does. But they never seem to bring fruitcake anymore. :(

I feel like it is hit or miss for me in the welcome wagon.

In my game there is sometimes a welcome wagon. I also had some situations when there wasn't one, but I really can't recall the circumstances.

It's hit or miss in mine as well.

Also, when someone returns home from an activity (work/school/other), the other household members get the "welcome wagon" interaction under friendly. Is this a known bug @rosemow ?

I'm surprised to see this. I always get a welcome wagon every time I move in a sim or move to another house.

I've seen that too but never selected it yet; what happens if you select the interaction? :)
