I shut autonomy off pretty quickly after I started playing TS4, but recently I tried giving one household more free will again. The moment I set them free, one of my Sims hustled to the sink to wash his hands. His wife and teenage daughter seemed to race for the nearest computer. Mom won the race. Her frustrated daughter was then frozen by indecision, queuing up several actions before emulating Dad's commitment to hand hygiene.
By now, Dad needed to use the bathroom, with a Bladder need in the red zone. After moaning about his discomfort...he spotted the stereo. I had forgotten I gave them a stereo, but Dad hadn't. You know what happened next.
I turned autonomy back off.
