Oh, Dear . . .

My would be physician Sim is busy experimenting with pharmaceuticals. :open_mouth: He went to class, DAZED. And I thought I was on top of my university Simmies. LOL I was quick to follow three of the others to their classes so I could be certain they had all their needs full and would take notes. But, somehow I missed Joey. He's a sneaky one. I did get him to take notes, and his class only just began, luckily. But I can only imagine the garbled mess those notes will be in his — ahem — condition. Naughty, naughty, naughty boy, Joey!

Please share your 'oh, dear' moments.

    One of my favorite Sim couples had a wedding. A lot of Sims were getting drinks at the bar and the bride and groom were there too. I had the task to make Sims flirt three times, so I made the bride flirt with the groom and I queued the action three times. Then I noticed that the groom was very angry. I had accidentally clicked a wrong Sim because there were too many Sims packed in together. The bride had flirted with a random guy and I tried to cancel the actions from her queue, but she had already done it twice and refused to cancel the last one. Oops. :#

    The wedding was a disaster. The groom was angry and then sad for the whole time. Their relationship bar took a huge hit and cherry on top... the random guy (that the bride flirted with) showed up later and flirted with the bride and of course she flirted back, with her newly wedded husband standing next to them. I had to spend a lot of time to fix their relationship.

    All I can say to that is Oh, dear …
  • Got two;
    I had a save where I had my sim get as many people pregnant as possible and eventually it got to the point where it was hard to find someone who wasn't his kid. I found a girl who didn't have his bright red hair and I checked my family tree to see if she was there. Didn't see her so she must not be related, so I just quickly talked to her so I could invite her over so I could use my vampire powers to seduce her (flirt burst and that odd pink mist ability) and when I tried to romance her I couldn't.
    It was his grandchild, I quickly kicked her out (funnily enough her father and mother had red hair)

    Another time was when I tried making my sim's thralls depressed for fun and I misclicked and made them very flirty instead, didn't have the energy to fix it and the entire time my vampire was going about his day you would hear the sim's below going "Ooh la la" and all that while flirting with each other. Made his morning kinda awkward

    Oh dear...

    Yesterday, Roddy had gone over to Willow Creek to visit a household he hadn't seen in a while. I used MCCC's control module to get Cherry Bright to kiss his cheek...I noticed that when I exited RoddyCam mode, that Cherry Bright had missed the target.

    Cue me getting increasingly irritated, as I attempted again and again to get that perfect screenshot... Bottom line, I banged my fist on my desk. It's the second time I've done that.

    I have found from my previous experience (I've only taken one set of YAs through uni since the EP came out) that taking notes reaps a better outcome. You can have them Actively listen, but note-taking in RL is the better way to learn and retain the knowledge.

    Depends on the person... prioritizing taking notes over just listening is a great way to prevent me from actually hearing what I'm supposed to be listening to. I can remember ridiculously specific things if you don't expect me to... but if I look like I'm listening (which takes specific effort,) or am acting like I'm listening (again, specific effort..).. I'll probably remember nothing

    If you don't think I'm listening.. I'll probably be able to parrot back the entire conversation.

    @GalacticGal how do you go to class with your sims & have them take notes? Is this sims 4?

    @Starfree
    It is a feature in TS4 when you have the University EP. Similar to the options your Sim gets down in their icon when they travel to work, they have other options to choose from while attending class.
  • I managed to nearly kill a sim because her and her daughter looked exactly the same. I was frantically trying to figure out why the daughter's bars weren't refilling... it would be because I was telling the mum to eat/sleep and everything while my the daughter just kept fishing...

    Oh, nuts, I would have loved to see that shot, too. Sometimes things just move faster than ye olde pause button finger, you know? Many a great shot I missed because I couldn't hit that pause button soon enough. Oh, well. Sounds like you're having a great game. ;)
  • Oh, Dear … never, never, NEVER leave to follow another Sim when one of you uni Sims needs to finish editing their term paper and turn it in. Cost him an F and now he has 7 classes in order to finish his degree. So, he has to take 4 classes this next term. Boy, do I feel unintelligent. Sorry, Joey.
