You don't really see the lint trap, but you can click on the dryer once your Sim adds the wet clothing to it and it will have the option to "Clean Lint Trap". I've watched them do it. It's more like they just have a few clicks on the machine (wouldn't that be nice?) and voila the lint is gone. Then I click on dry clothes.
