Option to disable vampires?
If I can recall, I think there was an option to disable these kinds of things in the Sims 3. Is there an option to disable vampires so that we can use the new content and world but without the fantasy...

Huh. You're one of the lucky ones, then. It took me a (real life) year of having a scientist, using the satellite, visiting Sixam, etc. before I got my first abduction. And the alien ended up abducting the wrong sim. :p

I don't know if this might be a glitch or if I'm just incredibly lucky, but there are regular abductions in my save. They don't happen without triggers, but they aren't rare anyway.
I think you are also lucky. We alien fans have been complaining since they were nerfed about how hard it is now to get abducted. We tried every trigger in the book and it still took forever. It shouldn't take that long if the player is actively seeking them out.
