Pants Length, Long Or Short?

We desperately need more long pants, especially for male sims. Desperately need them.

Long pants for male sims. I never see men wear cropped pants, like ever.

I mean I don't particularily need new pants
but I wouldn't mind some with more character
like bring on the chains and whatnot

Also I picked this option
because I really don't use shorts too much
and I believe we have enough cropped everything in the game
as if the sims are running out of fabric for their clothes or something

skirts would be nice too
and please both pants and skirts with high waist
so I can close the gap those million croptops leave behind
at least in gal section

for dudes preferably normal waist ones that are not too dang tight
and if theres suit top add matching pants

Long pants. Particularly for male sims. We already have more than enough of the "Steve Urkel" variety.

THIS!! ^^^^ I always think of that when I see men in them in the game.

Maybe California this is normal for men to wear short pants that show the ankle and feet, but here in the midwest I can honestly say that I don't ever see men dressed in anything remotely like that, unless they are of course too small, as in they bought the wrong leg length.

Agree emphatically. The only place I have ever seen the majority of the pants for male Sims in Sims4, is in Sims4. I have never seen most of these styles on a guy in real life.

In the stores, I also don't see most of the cropped, cutesy, and weird things there are in Sims4, but I do see a LOT of different options for men's pants, whether chinos, jeans, or dress slacks, they tend to be full length. They can be cargo, canvas pants with hammer straps, jeans in skinny, tapered leg, straight leg, boot cut, relaxed fit, and athletic. They can be dark denim, faded denim, blue denim, khaki, a variety of browns, blacks, greys, loden.

Edited for clarity and to add that I agree with @Simmingal about the chains. I see a lot of guys wearing wallets on chains, and the chain attaches to the belt loop on the pant, and makes a nice hanging loop of chain, where the wallet sits in the pocket, whether front or rear pocket.

This is not some extreme or attention-getting look, though it can be done in such a way that it is, but ordinary average guys with otherwise unremarkable dress (regular jeans and a regular t-shirt or casual buttondown or flannel-over-tee) can be seen occasionally sporting the wallet chain and I personally like it a lot.

Not only does it add a hint of swagger in an acceptably lowkey way, a good chain is an emergency weapon, not to mention it's a deterrent to pickpockets and prevents accidental drops.

Where are the skirts? :p

I like a bit of variation. Some sims or outfits go well with long pants (below the ankle) and some go better with shorts, and some females better with skirts.

Female sims need more high waisted pants or bottoms in general

Male sims need more lengthy pants and fewer skin tight shorts, imo.

Longer pants, but much more importantly, we need more tighter fitting jeans. It's baggy and bulky. Just a few body huggers for men and women. Length and fit are the two reasons I use cc bottoms almost exclusively.

I'd rather have more sleepwear, swimwear & long coats for all sims including children & toddlers. ;)
