i haven't played with cats yet so I don't know if they can be trained to do anything? It might need to be a dog

I have a puppy and he already knows heel but I can't see any options to train him anything else

Yeah so... about that, I have that problem too on some dogs, and not with others, and I'm talking adult dogs. Tell me, did you get a bug when you adopted your puppy?

I got more training tricks and options once the puppy grew into an adult. More were added as my sim developed her skills training the ones that opened up with the adult dog. I haven't tried cat-training yet, so I have no idea if it works the same way.

@Dijktafone I added the puppy in CAS because I wanted to make my own, I don't remember getting a bug.

@RiotLily I only have the menu option for Trained Commands, not the Training one. Did your dog only get the Training menu when it aged up from a puppy?

Puppies apparently cannot be trained, and the reason why it might already know Heel is possibly because you gave it the loyal trait? I could be wrong but I think loyal dogs automatically know Heel.

@CyrusTheLoser yes he has the loyal trait! Thank you, I'm already attached to the little guy and was worried he was bugged out or something :) Bummer that we can't train puppies though.

@kokoro80 I don't remember specifically which "train" option bubble came up. But I do remember the puppy only had one train option bubble (also has "loyal" trait) and the adult has two. So, it must have occurred after adulthood.

Does anyone know if a vampire can or cannot train a pet?
I married my sim to Caleb Vatore and he's being buggy since then... He can't train my dog, and their daughter always dislikes him, and many more that don't matter for this post... but I dunno if the training thing is a bug or if vampires really can't train dogs. His relationship to my dog is really high, and he can perform trained tricks, but can't train nothing....

Is there an ideal mood for training your pets?
