Sooo about those piles of leaves. Do they ever go away? They are places in the world where there is no trash can. I burn them to ash and then I cannot throw away the ashes because of no trash can. Please do something about this. I was worried about this when I saw them in the world during the live stream. I mean who wants piles of stinky leaves all over the neighborhood.Oh and tried to places an outdoor garbage can using the set as head cheat but yeah that cheat is not working either.

Yes, I didn't expect them to turn I to stinking piles after a while. Now they are everywhere...

It is driving me crazy. I remember having to rake those open areas in Sims 3 and I was hoping not to have to deal with that in Sims 4. At least in Sims 3 when you burned the leaves, they were gone. Sims 4 leaves these little piles of ashes everywhere..sheeeeeeesh. Also, Why is there no option to throw them away when you live close enough to a pile to throw it away? I had to burn it to ash which takes a few burns and then was able to throw away the pile of ash.

At least you can burn them. My Sim can't even do that. The near-constant rain in Windenburg makes it impossible.

My random neighbors actually throw the piles of ash away as soon as the leaf piles burn completely.

What about the piles not near trash cans?

The ones I’ve seen them throw away are in the middle of open fields behind my Sims house.

By the pancake house? Most of those are near trash cans. The area where Summer, Liberty and Travis live is a bit challenging with the trash cans. I am by the Goths now. I got so excited because I didn't see any piles and then they started spawning. Are you getting the throw away option when you click on the pile? I only get the throw away without burning for leaves raked on my Sim lot.

Raking your own leaves is not the problem. I don't even have to burn those. I can just throw them away. The leaves that spawn around the neighborhood are the problem. I have to burn them three times. The leaves end up a pile of ash as pictured in the thread and will not be thrown away if there is not a trash can near enough to the pile.

I think it must be a bug, particularly in my case no matter how many times I burn the piles they will not turn to ash.

Ditto. My sim was burning 1 year old pile, but could not throw away the ashes due to lack of trash can near by. The next day a random sim walked up to the ashes, grabbed it and walked over to a trash can! Sop - there was a trash can there the whole time, wondering why my sim could not use it...

Also - the leaf piles look a bit misplaced in Oasis Springs. I've now played first 3 days of Fall there, and tried to get rid of numerous piles from a year ago. Problem is that even if my sim is able to burn and trash those leaves, the next morning the pile is back. There is no leaf on the ground, and nobody raked anything. Looks a bit weird on green green grass of Oasis Spring... and even stranger in the desert areas.

They just fixed the bug where the plants were spawning in threes and I think the piles are having the same problem. I find I need to burn them three times but if I let a few falls go by a new pile spawns over the old one and I have to burn it like six times as well.

It really needs to get fixed already.

My Sims are in Newcrest, on the 40x30 lot that's near the fishing pond. They've got a leaf pile right behind their house, but no other trash cans around and they can't even take them back to their lot to throw away.

I wonder if they could program the NPC gardeners who work in the parks to do leaf control. Or maybe groups of NPC Scouts would show up in their uniforms to take care of the leaves.
