I have long since stopped worrying about having the guests sit. I just omit any chairs and let them gather before the couple. Getting the guests to gather is still a problem. Make sure you either lock the doors inside the venue or use the tape (under fences in build/buy mode) to keep the guests from sneaking upstairs. I do wish EA would come out with the quintessential game pack for weddings wherein guests can be called to gather as the ceremony is about to start. Perhaps, the beginning of the music should call them to 'attention', if you will. Best of luck. I love weddings and in another four Sims weeks, will be having a total of four weddings coming up. Yeah, I'm crazy, but I learned a lot since I tried this in my now defunct game save. (I hate patches when they break my game saves.)
