Plants not growing in Greenhouses

I think it must be a bug. My plants haven’t grown, nor need any care in weeks. I was watching a let’s play where their garden was needing watered/weeded and would grow every day. Definitely not how it looks in my game.

Granted in the let’s play their garden was growing slower than normal so it may have been tweaked, but I also think it’s broken for some.

yeah I'm seeing an issue with gardening and plants in general. My plasma fruit for example is not growing at all. They don't need much care and so far I've had zero harvests even though they are in season. I'm in Oasis Springs they should be growing like weeds as we've been in a heatwave for like over a week. Yet they don't even need water and haven't produced a single one.

I am having the same problems. My plants are sheltered and they are taking forever to grow. I am having a hard time doing the Freelance Botanist aspiration because it takes so long for a plant to get to the point that I can evolve it. I also need a Death Flower, but at the slow rate of growth, it does not look I am going to be able to do the needed splicing and growing to create one. I could use cheat codes, but I don't want to do that. I like the Seasons Expansion pack for the most part, but gardening really sucks now.

Same, I’m stuck in my aspiration waiting for plants to need evolved. *sigh* Luckily I’m playing on long and gardening is my sims hobby, not livelihood, so I’m ok with waiting around.

Does anyone know if this problem is isolated to “sheltered” plants? Maybe I should try moving them outside...

I'm not sure if it's isolated to sheltered plants or just for some players but my plants grew and I tore down my greenhouse. As for evolving idk as I haven't gotten that far. I plan to do some more testing and then restart my save.

My main issue is with the evolving - my plants are in a greenhouse and producing harvestables, but it took nearly all spring and summer to evolve them from 'normal' to 'nice'.

Well I managed to get my sim to level 9 gardening skill and to the last part of the aspiration that gives the fire immunity trait, sorry I don't know the names for them. I just need level 10 gardening skill and a cow plant, which I have as a spliced plant in my greenhouses, to finish the aspiration.

What I did was make two greenhouses and saved them as rooms. I used the beehives to polinate the plants, I downloaded my apartment balcony which has a lot of spliced plants. The patch helped with identifying the plants, I've been working on it for a couple of days. To get the evolve to go up fast, I used basil and sage which has a quick growing rate and planted lots of them inside. I lived on the lot with the greenhouses and did lots of saving the lot and then starting a new game and placing the greenhouses on the lot in the new game with a studio I made so my sim could live there. I noticed as I placed the greenhouses the plants would go (ETA, (grow) within 2 days of starting the new game.

I got a bunch of plants for Harvestfest from the gnomes. The ones I planted before the bees went dormant were fine regardless of season.

When I went to plant some lemons after the bees went dormant, I got a message saying it wasn't possible because they weren't germinated.

I'm having the same issue with sheltered plants. I planted a bird of paradise and the plant grows but it never blossoms. The deathflower is only producing one flower each harvest (after waiting sim several days). The gnomes are also bugged and have stuck around spawning seed packets even after their holiday. Thank goodness they are *appeased* gnomes lol...

I've been using my sim that was already level 10 gardening. I've noticed too that since this update the plants I've been growing in my greenhouse have been progressing at an alarmingly slow rate =\ much slower than before. It got to the point where I had to end up forcing them all to evolve one level because I had gone through several seasons without the option popping up.

I'm not sure if its a bug, or an intended change. I notice now that for some reason they got rid of the plants 'moods' and replaced them with the level bars. When the bars fill up it becomes locked and indicates its ready to be evolved, then it starts all over. Problem is that it takes forever for that bar to fill - at least for me. I haven't tried growing outside of the greenhouse, but I noticed that the plants for some reason don't need any care at all. All throughout autumn and winter they needed grew weeds or had insect issues (I figured it was because of the seasons, so I decided to wait until Spring popped up) and sure enough as the weather warmed I started getting weeds and insects, but still found the lack of weeding strange since its supposed to be sheltered. I would frequently get harvestables, but now in the middle of summer suddenly I'm finding my plants with less and less harvests. So I am thinking that there is some kind of bug going on here.

The problem is that for your plants to progress you need to care for them frequently. You can't care for them if options for weeding, watering, and insect-treatment aren't popping up as that is what progresses it to the evolve stage. So now every once and a while I just make them evolve myself at the rate I recalled them doing it in the past prior to the update (watering included). Not sure if all of this is just restricted to plants indoors though.
