I would Love that, After EA figure out how to make two Sims dance "Together"

I'll be one happy simmer the day we get bands!

My imagination runs wild with thoughts of different kinds too - as well as the traditional rock band, we could have classical violin quartet, classical duets with violin and piano, jazz band with sax, singers of all genres thrown into the mix. And while they're adding the drums, they can add a portable electric keyboard - complete with a different skilling mechanic and different songs from the piano...oh, and ones we can program ourselves (like that moog/synthesiser thing we got in Sims2 Freetime), choose the beat style, add some riffs, stick on a melody over the top. And lets finally be able to have a sing-a-long around the piano.

I think they should do an entire Game pack dedicated to music and bands.

But, only if they allow for a singer. I was so terribly disappointed when we first got the band ability in Sims3, but no singers allowed. :(
Then, they gave us ST and I was doing the happy dance. I really, really, really miss the singer career, you just can't know.

Looks like the game breaking issue will remain for awhile as they had no plans to add a band feature a couple months back when I asked a Guru.

You have to wait for the new expansion pack "get a band" where it will have such features as joining a band, naming your band, a new band skill as well as a brand new trait "loves bands" which will give sims a mood boost every time they play in a band. There will also be a brand new neighbourhood featuring new public lots! Yes that's right, new bars and clubs for your sims bands to play at. The new bands skill will add a whole new dimension of game play, where as your sims play in a band, the skill will level up. There will be 5 new outfits and 1 new hair as well a new cool feature where you can set band uniform. Sims can also "set band type" Choose from rock, pop, jazz and classical. Choosing rock will let you experience the expansion packs only brand new animation. Watch as your sim has a totally rad, totally weird guitar solo. You will laugh so hard the first time you see it, then press 3 on your key pad to speed through the boring repetitiveness every other time. Get all this plus some brand new bugs for $39.99.

Who needs family play, toddlers, npcs and interesting dynamic gameplay when your sims can be total bros and hang out at the bars and clubs that all look and function the same!

I want band, drum and bass

With a group function you can get sims to play at the same time, but they don't really play together. I don't know if you care about that distinction, the music they're playing is definitely not at all connected to each other, so it'll just be a lot of discordant noises. BUT visually at least, if you put a bunch of instruments next to each other, you can at least get them playing at the same time in proximity to one another.
