Caleb is one of my main Sims! <3 I play him regularly and also have a Simstagram account (has some non-forum-friendly content so I can't link you here, but if you're interested and you're over 18, you can PM me for the link). And yeah, he does have a pretty sad story, I think. The Foodie trait especially - and the fact that he has an Italian surname thing makes the garlic thing so much worse!
Being a Guilty Drinker / having the nightmare weakness / having the Good Vampire aspiration (which literally says they want to retain their humanity as much as possible) definitely makes me think he's not happy being a vampire.
But yeah, lots of story potential. For the way I'm playing them, my Caleb and Lilith are twins originally from Windenburg who were turned relatively recently (they're 23 now, were turned when they were 19), and I was using a version with all their skills wiped when I started playing them. When they both had sun resistance, I moved then to San Myshuno. They now live in Alto Apartments with Caleb's boyfriend Johnny Zest, and are doing more or less okay. Morgyn has started showing up, too! (Caleb originally approached them in the Magic Realm seeking a cure for vampirism, which doesn't exist in this 'verse.) Caleb is a style influencer and active on social media, Lilith is technically unemployed but makes a living from her art, and Johnny is a level 10 comedian and five-star celeb, so he's definitely the breadwinner!
