- Kathykins5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm the same, so maybe that makes me weird too :D I have always had snippets of "stories" when I play, but never have the energy or consentration to actually write it down and do screenshots to "document" anything. Usually my sims lives are so mundane, and then something happens that doesn't happen very often, and I make up reasons and plots and then that's it. Of course, I never write stories and then play them out in game. And I'm looking at uhh....5300'ish hours.
If blogging about your sims isn't really your thing, then those plots and stories are just as good in your head as on a blog. As long as you enjoy it, there's really nothing weird about it. "Kathykins;c-17775629" wrote:

True I just feel it seems most simmers have a blog or stream with a plot in mind- RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceI kept all of my Sims’ adventures to myself for years. I only started posting about them recently. I don’t play with an audience in mind; I play to entertain myself, and then I share what happened with my online friends here.
- Kathykins5 years agoSeasoned AceIt seems that way for me too, very often. And I've been wanting to do the same, I just know I won't be able to follow through with it. I'm also not playing one save only, or one family. Not enough to actually make a lasting story about any of them. I'll probably just post 3-4 times, and then forget all about it :D
Streaming is also out of the question. I'd be way too self-concious about speaking English, which is what I'd have to do. I speak it fairly well, but the thought of all the strangers, even if its just a few who would ever watch....its a lot more intimidating than talking with one or two friends in the same language. - I don't write anything about my Sims but usually I take pictures of important moments, draw paintings of my Sims etc. and I think it's good enough to remember about it even years later.
My original and most important legacy is from 2016 (I stopped playing with it around Pets release) and its spammed a couple of households which I remember all of their stories especially when I go through the pictures I took.
But lately I've been playing much more as spector of my Sims observing them and trying to influence their autonomy and I forgot to take pictures of some nice moments ?
so, it is not weird, to answer your question ? - naw i do that most of the time
until one day i suddenly get stupid idea and go for it
sometimes it results in reasonable story and i get very excited to play that but most times not - NateWhiplash5 years agoSeasoned Ace

I have 157 hours on Sims 4 an d I sometimes have a 'plot' but I don't really blog (I tried don't have the attention span) or write about my sim and just play lol is that weird?
Not wierd at all. I never have a story, my play is based around events - texxx785 years agoSeasoned AceNever did it too. I also don't have the attention span for it ? i actually have always an inner fight between my lack of attention span and my playstyle. I've tried a bit of everything to avoid restarting all the time. Recently i have been playing in a huge rotation so that i feel that im starting a new game all the time ? but now i'm leaving the rotation save and starting a new legacy again ?
- I've never really played with the story in the forefront of my mind; my stories tend to be spur-of-the-moment flights of fancy when something in the game catches my attention like "oooh, let's see where that rabbit hole goes."
And if the substance of what happens is sufficiently interesting to tell the tale of it later, there are forum threads for that :) - Daephene15 years agoSeasoned AceI think probably most players are that way, but the ones who do post online are way more visible online as a result. I didn't have any online sims presence for years, then a couple years ago I got hooked on taking screenshots and came to the forums for a place to post them. I still have no intention of making a blog or anything that might involve expectations... I just post them here when I feel like it. My sims are characters and sometimes I have plans for certain aspects of their life stories but a lot of my posts are just pictures of what happened, whether planned in advance or done on a whim or happened autonomously.
