I agree with the bolded statement; however, when it destroys well laid out plans then it must be treated the same way as a highly aggressive dog in a household with babies/toddlers/young children.
I like having autonomy on for Sims to do stuff - however, the game does train-wreck too much for me with regard to toddlers - putting them to bed/feeding them, etc. Time is precious and I get fed up of trying to correct AI errors.
