Honestly I cannot believe that the world is just set dressing and there is like one interactable lot per district and nobody is tending the shops and the aliens races are just masks and ahhhhh,!!!
I'm with you. Somehow although my expectations were low and I knew I wouldn't like or buy this, they somehow still managed to disappoint me. I'm glad some simmers get what they want here, but as a sci-fi nerd and star wars fan, I still fail to see how this meets any of those needs. But I'm just me I guess..
@SimTrippy For me really I didn't like the idea of a pack specifically about Star Wars but I was open since I thought that if done well it's going to give us some adventure and since I like adventure and action games I thought who knows maybe it will be good. But I also don't see how it is going to captivate even Star wars fans with so little interactable lots and things to do. It's great to look at though.
Agreed, I was open to it as well until we got the first trailer. It just seemed like more of the same, minus a nice world to live in and, as we know now, minus editable lots, minus base camp (????), minus real species (even if non-playable), minus the choice to do anything with Kylo / Rey outside of Batuu, minus ..... gameplay? I just don't see it. Even for those who like goal-oriented gameplay, I fail to see how this won't bore them in a very short amount of time. They can't go to Batuu on holidays with their sim families or make this world their own in any significant way .. they can't even really go there for fun and ignore the quests as there's just nothing there when you strip the repetitive quests and build shells away. For all the hate SV used to get, at least it's a decent-sized world (for a GP), adds a new career that's actually fun, lets us set the state of the world once completed, and the world has an overall interesting atmosphere you can enjoy even if you ignore all the alien invasion stuff. JTB has none of that. My mind is still blown at the number of restrictions and limitations in this pack, and they just seem to keep coming. Every review I watch, I'm more amazed at just how much isn't here at all. Like even for TS4, it's shocking.
