Same here. I used to at least try and include some pre-mades in my played sims' lives and stories, but I soon got really tired of seeing the same ones soooo many times in all of my saves, and most of them were too annoying in my view, anyway. Back then I sometimes gave them makeovers to change at least something about them, but eventually I got tired of that, too. I never had any interest in actually playing any of them, and that doesn't seem likely to change for me.

Currently I have three main families in my save: the Goths, the Pancakes and the Trouts. The Goths are mixed with the Fyres now and one of my own earlier main families, the Nairs, got mixed with the Pancakes. The Pancakes also married with Hugo Villareal and Tomax Collette and my own sim Layla Trout is going to marry Makoa Kealoha, so uh yeah... my sims like premades and they are entangled :joy: I often keep premades around as spouse options and they are popular, but I also like to have some of them just as background sims and then I sometimes play with them and continue/improve their stories.

One of my favourite premades is Sofia Bjergsen. She moved to Del Sol Valley to become a superstar and because of her Venessa Jeong gave up on her dream of becoming an actor (she thought there was no way she could be better than Sofia and got depressed), so Venessa moved to San Myshuno and one night Lilith Vatore decided to turn her into a vampire. Venessa is a vampire now and lives with Miko Ojo (Darling and Akira moved out and Darling is terrified of Venessa and fears for Miko). Anyway, Sofia is a four star celebrity now. At first she dated Kayla Flemming, but they broke up, and now Sofia and Octavia Moon are dating (they are so pretty together! I adore them and I think Sofia will soon be Sofia Moon instead of Sofi B ). Sofia's parents still live in Windenburg but they left the island and moved into a smaller house and are elders now. Elsa Bjergsen is a teen and lives in San Myshuno with teen Billie Jang in the Jang apartment. Billie's parents moved in Oasis Springs. Elsa loves fashion and adores her big sister, but is also a bit jealous of Sofia. Hmm, and Thorne and Orange Bailey moved in Oasis Springs. Thorne will be buddies with Johnny Zest who is an elder now and has a son Jonah Zest. Jonah and Orange hang out. Johnny and Luna Villareal were married at some point, but Johnny cheated on Luna with Sofia's aunt Anna (they even had Jonah), so Luna divorced Johnny. Sofia and Luna are still best friends and Sofia resents her aunt, who actually died not long ago. Yeah, stuff like that :D I wrote Johnny and Luna's lovestory down, but I don't have it anywhere online at the moment.

I play mostly with the premade families, I have around 40ish played families in my current save. Each family is played for a year on the calendar with my seasons set at 14 days. My save is over two years old and I still haven't played every premade household in the game.

I give them all minor makeovers like new clothing, hair and make up, I rarely alter their genetics cause they are made the way they are for a reason and I generally don't like to mess with that, I've made one or two exceptions in my current save Darrel Charm being one of them cause he was just weird looking. :D

I love playing rotationally with the premades it allows me to get to know all the families, give them jobs, new relationships, more children and experience life with them, they are all my sims and I love them. Seeing the game as a whole evolve over time as opposed to just one family is a very satisfying experience, it's what makes the game fun for me and it keeps me playing.

My sim married Bob Pancakes.

Eliza had a child with Marcus Flex but he never cared and dumped her for another of his victim - Eva Capricciosa. Eliza found her love with Johnny Zest who kindly adopted Marcus' child. Johnny and Eliza had a son together. He looked exactly like Johnny. One could not tell them apart. Their legacy went on for about 4 generations.

The Pancakeses = my sim and Bob had kind of a nice life. I am currently at gen 18! They had 3 children - twin girls and a son.

One of the twins married Eliza's and Marcus' daughter. Her name was Baileigh. They eventually divorced because Baileigh wanted to have a child but Bob's daughter didn't. Baileigh got too much juiced and had a one night stand with Quasimodo Lothario (Don's ugly relative). The child took after her father.

The son married Atlas Patel - Zoe Patel's brother. They wanted to have a biological child so Zoe was the surrogate. Their daughter had a child with Johnny Zest jr. who was actually married with a child. This is the branch of my family tree that still goes on. Most of them are in my saves, and married by MCCC and maybe had 1-2 kids and got old and died. Depends of the save :) Some I delete right after even starting to play a new save.

I have marriage % set very low for YA and a bit higher for adults, kids for married only couples and max 2 kids per household :)

I've two base saves: One with premades, and one without.

For those that are spawned from the one with them, premades are generally background characters or recurring acquaintances. I've only had one premade make it into being playable, and that was Ulrike Faust. Otherwise, they generally are moved around and have descendants (MCCC), whilst slowly dying off.

...have been added to my large group of CAS sims rotating through University.
Cassandra is almost finished with Uni. She has taken up spell casting. She was working towards a career in politics, but due to a recent turn of events in Uni, she will be become an entrepreneur and create a business based around avoiding and delaying death.

I’ve only started playing the premades recently, too (in Sims 4). I figured since they’re planning an update, I’d like to know how they are currently vs the update. Before anyone starts a rotational save like this, let me give a little advice I just learned the hard way. Go through and decide which households you want to play and mark them as played before you actually spend a full day with anyone (favoriting them alone might work but I’m not sure). You want to avoid the relationship culling that happens at 3am to unplayed households.

So I’ve been playing all the households with teens which is 14 households in my game. I’ve just gotten started so they’re all still teens and it’s fun to imagine who will couple up with whom. Then when they get their 3rd trait I’m sure all that will change. I use WW so they have attraction and it helps me decide who they are interested in (combined with whims, and I use Bienchen’s whim overhaul so yes I do get interesting whims.)

I gave Cassandra Goth purple eyes to make her a little more interesting to play (I’ve always found her boring in TS2, sorry.) I also gave her a slightly darker skin tone and Bella a darker one more like her original TS1 skin. Cassandra is really into Rohan Elderberry, but the feeling isn’t mutual.

I changed Malcolm Landgraab’s hair to the regular blonde shade his parents have. He and Kaori Nishidake are extremely attracted to one another. I don’t think I’ll allow it long term, but it’s certainly interesting for now. Nancy quit the criminal career but she entered the law career, so I imagine she’s a shady kind of attorney. I replaced their house with a Palm Springs build from the gallery and they totally have that vibe.

Wolfgang Munch and Rashidah Watson are super cute together and I think they’re going to last. Gunther likes Ulrike, but he might end up with Maaike. I kinda like the idea of them turning their friendship into something more.

Morgan Fyres finds lots of guys extremely attractive but for some reason they are totally repelled by her. She and Rohan Elderberry were involved but he isn’t as into her. I could see her dating Duane Talla. Anyway, Siobhan was going after Salim Benali last I played, but she’s still stringing Sergio along.

Sofia Bjergsen had her first kiss with Hugo Villareal but that’s not going to last.

Hugo Villareal is really into Yuki Behr, and she finds him attractive, plus they’re both loners, so it could work. Luna is being wooed by several guys but she’s not really interested in anyone in particular. I figure she’s not ready for that yet - she is childish, after all. Her mother was such a big influence in her life, but when she “disappeared”, Luna felt lost and it stunted her growth. I noticed Jacques has pink/red eyes so I gave them to Max as well so he can hopefully pass them on to his kids, if he has any. (I love having interesting genetics to watch, if you can tell.)

I built a new townhouse for Candy and Yuki because I couldn’t find one I liked on the gallery. I kept some of the furniture & decor they had and let them inspire me for the build, along with their traits and skills. So it’s got an industrial edge and Yuki has a cute tv/gaming area in her bedroom. I think Candy will remain single for a while, but like I said above, Yuki may end up with Hugo. They’ve been seen in public being romantic with each other when I’ve played other houses which is so cute. She also likes Wolfgang.

Darling Walsh is dating a living statue NPC, so I’m not sure if she’s a premade but her name is Marlene Walker. It’s interesting because I was thinking of changing Darling’s name to Darlene when she becomes a young adult. Darlene and Marlene. Akira and Miko seem like they’d make a cute couple, but Akira is a collector and he’s really better suited to live in Mt. Komorebi while Miko will probably never leave the city.

I also rebuilt the Kealoha house where Duane Talla lives in Sulani. (By the way, why on earth does Makoa have such high fishing skill when he’s a Child of the Ocean and gets sad while fishing or eating fish!? Rude.) Duane is most attracted to Cassandra (I can’t remember how she feels about him) and I could see that happening.

In a different save, Eleanor Elderberry won the lottery but she didn’t win it in this save, oh well. So I rebuilt their house to be a tiny home with lots of outdoor space since the grandparents both love the outdoors. Space was not sacrificed in the kitchen because Eleanor loves to cook and Rohan will, too, as a perfectionist. Rohan has the ladies throwing themselves at him, but he’s most into Luna and Sofia (and Darling, but he won’t get anywhere with her.)

Kaori Nishidake still likes Kiyoshi Ito, but she likes Malcolm more. It was hilarious because every time she invited one of them over, the other one would also show up or invite her out. It was usually Malcolm blowing up Kiyoshi’s spot. But Kaori is adventurous so she wants to keep up with them both.

Now I have to play through the Itos and then the Watsons and Chopras in HoB. Then I will spend another round getting them ready for uni. I think I will send them in 2-3 batches.

With the Chopras, my theory is that Rahul’s father died of hysteria. Lavina and Rahul both dislike comedy for that reason.

Only once did I play a premade until he passed on - Johnny Zest. He had married but not had any kids when he passed (he married late in life). He died from old age. Most of the other premades I have played just to check out the clubs feature in Windenberg, or to test the fame feature before using it on my usual Sims. I also played the premade twins in university to see what was new. My favorite premades to play are the vampires. Speaking of which, I turned the garlic house in Forgotten Hollow into a haunted house. Most of the time I prefer to mess with the premade lots or premade NPC clothing rather than play them in live mode. My favorite things to do with the premade lots that already have residents is to add basements, especially hidden in garden sheds, indoor closets, hedge mazes, premade graveyard rooms, etc. I suppose I could just put it in the middle of the backyard, but if I was going to do that I would like a Beetlejuice like sign (like TS1 did).

I tend to create new saves when I have had to remove a substantial amount of mods and/or custom content due to patch updates, or if I want to build on more lots than I have left. Then there is the save I downloaded with ALL lots and NPC's removed or deleted that I sometimes clone and rebuild with gallery lots, etc. Unfortunately, the apartments don't work too well when they are bulldozed, and are much harder to rebuild than the standard lots.

I've never played a premade Sim, but some of them become important parts of my Simworlds. This happens when one of the premades connects, organically, with my "main character."

My current favorite Sim has several fun connections with premades. He met Brent Hecking at the gym, and now he's Good Friends with Brent and Brant. He hangs out with them a couple times each week. He clicked almost immediately with Summer Holiday, and since the Sim I created to be his love interest doesn't seem to like him much, his crush on Summer could easily turn into something more. He's also become friends with Dominic Fyres, Bjorn Bjergsen, and Simon Scott.

Another Sim I've enjoyed has a deepening connection with Sofia Bjergsen. She is still a Teen in my save, and he's a Young Adult, so they have to wait for romance, but their chemistry is both sweet and electric. There's definitely a future for those two.

Nancy Landgraab seems to find every one of my single male Sims. One or two of them have had flings with her. At one point, I thought she was out to hook up with my current "main character." Nancy's intentions have so far been platonic, however, and they simply enjoy talking and working out together.
