Princess Cordelia.

I am obsessed.

Originally I couldn't care about the upcoming pack. Weddings? Ok, sure. It wasn't faeries or anything. But now that I've decided that Tartosa is the land Princess Cordelia and her family reigned over before the Great Sloth Invasion I have to get it. Not until the bugs are fixed, my plans for the Princess have some behind the scenes work to do before I can begin anyway, but until that happens I thought to create a thread other simmers like me who have suddenly decided, or previously, that Princess Cordelia is their favorite sim of all time to post anything, everything, and vaguely related things about the Princess.

I'll start. Currently, I'm working on making a decades challenge save, set before the challenge would begin in 1800, surrounding the Princess and her arrival to Henford-On-Bagly and eventual return to Tartosa. Last time I played I went through BB and pulled out as many things as I could find that include the Princess's backstory in its flavor text. I have a lot full of random furniture lol. What about you?

The Great Sloth Invasion was a very large, very old attack that took place, as far as I can tell, roughly 200 years or so before the time Sims 4 is sent. I don't think it's mentioned in any other sims game, and it's said that it took many lives. Princess Cordelia was lucky to escape her homeland, and many of the items that mention her detail what she couldn't take with her. It's so very sad. As far as princess CC, she'd probably be dressed in Georgian or maybe Victorian, depending, clothing. Finding clothes for the decades challenge has always been the hardest part for me, besides sticking with it, so I wish you good luck!
I'm not sure this is based in fact at all but I feel like her favorite color is periwinkle. It feels right.
My next step after I put the finishing touches on her household, cottage, and creating some royals to party with, is figuring out what if any iconic Sims families would have ancestors tracing that far back. The Goth's oldest official relative is probably ~two generations ahead of her, while the Landgraabs are ~1 with Admiral Landgraab, but his origins are suspect.

Very sad indeed. Those terrible sloths. Thank you for the clothing tip. I've never downloaded these specific period pieces before. Periwinkle sounds perfect. I can only think of vampires with lineages going back that far. Maybe in Sulani. Some of the households there are Sulani nobles, I can't remember which ones. I think this is the only noble or pirate dynasty in the gallery. I remember finding this household in the gallery was a really fun surprise. I put them in Brindleton Bay too lol.
  • I don't mean to semi-threadjack, but I can't start threads yet and my question is related to this topic. If this is inappropriate, though, let me know and I'll drop it until I can start my own thread. Because this isn't strictly on topic for this thread, I ask that people send me responses privately.

I've seen stuff here and there about royals in the Sims, but aside from the names of furniture pieces, I haven't run into anything in the game that introduces royalty or info on how to add royalty to you own play. Again, please respond to me privately. Links to any resources on Sims royalty would be much appreciated!
  • Lore Spoiler:

    Spoiler
It's not her kingdom. She did live there for a while (with Buttercups, I believe) as it reminded her of her kingdom.

Don't want to spoil the lore for anyone trying not to read it but that's so interesting. I'll have to include that after she's finished with the bunnies. Thank you! :)

Yes, EternalSunshine posted a link to one of the players, who helped build the new lots, in another thread: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/18062088/#Comment_18062088

Again spoiler warning to not click the link and scroll down to “Lore Facts” if you prefer to discover the information on your own as you explore the pack. Even though it says “subject to change”, all of it could still be part of the stories you learn from the inhabitants of Tartosa and possibly from collecting the messages in the bottles(?) :)
