I find myself reluctant to use CC/MODS in my game sometimes, because if I want to share my creations, especially Sims, to the gallery, they might not be seen by most people because you have to enable Advanced mode in the gallery to see anything with CC/MOD'S! Plus even after I remove the CC/MOD'S from my game the gallery still has whatever it was that had custom content used on it before, as still having mods, long after they were removed, which is very annoying!So I was wondering if when you are searching for stuff in the Gallery, if you search with Advanced/mods on or not? Me I have it on, because I figure I might be missing Sims especially that that I might like, just because the Gallery separates the modded stuff from the none modded on default! So again I ask do you search with mods visible in the Gallery or hidden?I really want to know, because I am trying to decide whether I should put CC/MODS in or leave them out, so when I create something really special, especially Sims, and share it on the Gallery, people will actually get to see it!

One thing I would suggest if you do have CC on your sim is to put where you got it from in the Description. This way if someone doesn't have the pieces, they will know where you got it from, and can add it to their game if they want to.

Nah, I just don't see the point. No one ever bothers to list what was used, so whatever you download is going to look different than what is presented, most of the time. Sure, once in a while you might download something that looks great even after all of the CC gets removed, but that's literally just a guessing game. With a CC-free creation, I can know I'm getting exactly what I'm being presented and I can add my own CC to it afterwards if I want to. And there are so many nice CC-free creations out there that I've never felt the need to go digging in that category.I'm mostly referring to lots, by the way. I even stripped her down to nothing, just the EA default underwear, not even any hair on her head and she still showed up as modded.I actually had this problem once @LaBlue0314 and it was rosemow that helped my problem by suggesting I make a CAS clone of her using the Genetics function in making a Twin, then applying everything you have from the old version to the new version, and THEN you delete the old sim. If you've done it right she will be cc-free! Of course you should go about doing this on unmodded in case the game wants to register it as cc still.

@paradiseplanet I was able to get it fixed. I don't know what was going on, because the first time I did everything that was suggested just didn't work. But for some reason, I did what @rosemow suggestion it worked (the second time around). I think my game must hate me because then I did what they suggest before and it didn't' work, but did this last time. Go figure. Anyways, I also want to thank you for helping me with this mess. The redhead that I showed a picture of, I had to do the twinning thing on her, but she's now up without any CC.

One thing I would suggest if you do have CC on your sim is to put where you got it from in the Description. This way if someone doesn't have the pieces, they will know where you got it from, and can add it to their game if they want to.

Without CC only. There's no way to track it down so what are the odds you'll have everything anyway.

If you have things like custom sliders, they'll get packaged with the sims. I have a folder with my height slider + visible leftie trait that I remove when I want to upload sims to the gallery.
Check with the tray importer what's causing the issue.

No point for me since I only download sims as templates for heavy editing/genetic mixing. I never use anything from the Gallery "as is".

I never look at builds or sims with CC in them. The chances of me owning the cc used in lot or sim are slim to none and I am very picky about my cc, I won't download some random bit of cc just to download something.

I find that most people don't even look at your stuff with cc. Which I think it a good thing, as I use the gallery as my personal online storage to transfer stuff between desktop and laptop.

Just some tips for everyone about the CC tag

have NO cc on your sim in any category (skin details, hairs, makeup, accessories, etc) so before you share, make sure it has none of these selected
have NO default eyes (default skins don't count as CC apparently but default eyes do, so as long as you have your default eyes you'll always have the cc tag on)
have NO cc sliders
have NO cc traits or aspirations (or walk styles and voices if cc for it exists)
have NO cc name randomize tools
cas backgrounds won't make a difference to the CC tag
check the sim's other outfits in EVERY CATEGORY. this is important. many of my sims appear modded because of the other outfits that have random cc clothes or accessories.

I sometimes search for lots with mods/cc. I don't have build/buy CC myself, but that doesn't matter much when I only want the house.

I don't look for sims on the Gallery.
