Question on the Sims 4 Movie Hangout Stuff Pack

This pack was released Jan 12, 2016. The primary feature of this pack was what . . . that's right, watching movies. The pack was bugged shortly after release and has yet to be fixed. The bug occurs...

I didn't have any issue with movies until recently, when they watch the same one over and over until I manually cancel the action or send them off to do something else.
