Questions on Compatiblity in Growing Together

I have restarted playing the game and am trying to remember works the compatibity system and am not having much sucess finding the information. 

The way that I understand the traits preferences are the only ones that effects compatibility, the likes and dislikes for conversation topics and activities, music etc. do not have any effect on compatibility with other sims. 

As I understand it the positive trait likes are +3 and dislikes are -1 for a given like or dislike chosen catagory. The total of all effected traits is 7 or more is amazing, 6-3 is good, 2 to -2 is neutral -3 to -6 is bad and -7 or less is awful. Is that correct?

Is there anywhere that give a full list for all the traits for all packs that are effected for compatibility like is shown for Lovestruck's attraction system? I know that the traits from other packs fall in to the trait like/dislike catagories but I cant find an updated list for the more recent packs.

    I don't really know how the social compatibility works. 

    But, the conversation topics have an effect in gameplay. If you tell a joke to a sim who dislikes jokes, it negatively impacts their relationship. If two sims like the same topic, talking about it makes relationship gain increased. 

    Not sure if/how it impacts compatibility though.

    Hi! The creator of the thread looking into it here! Though I haven't updated the list because I fear that the spoiler tags might mess it up.

    The Sim Characteristics compatibility takes into account 3 things:

    1. Sim's traits (both personality and reward traits)
    2. Sim's lifestyles
    3. Sim's Activity Likes (these tend to add one point)

    So yeah, kind of.

    It is usual for characteristic's traits to add (or remove if disliked) 3 points and take away (or add if disliked) 1 point from opposing traits. The point ranges are mostly correct, though Amazing is 6 and up while Awful is -6 and less.

    My list is the best list I can offer you at the moment. Due to forum issues I haven't updated it, but the good news is that only Horse Lover is missing from Pet Enthusiasts category. In addition, I will show the latest updates on the characteristics in that thread too, so stay tuned.

    Yeah, the main thing I see is that conversation topics affect how successful is the interaction on that sim. Sims that like it accept it more while sims that dislike it reject it more.

    It does not affect the social compatibility score though.
