Randomized Cat Traits?

So this is a new one for me...my sim adopted a cat recently, and every time I look at her traits they are different. I've gone into "change Sim" and modified the cat's traits several times, and yet they continue to change. I've quit, reloaded, added the new Jungle Adventure pack, and it's still happening. Anyone else have this issue, or is my cat just doomed to have a different personality every time my sim interacts with her?
