Romance Festival/Geek Con props are stuck in place

I had noticed the Geek Con objects still there during my last visit to the neighborhood about a week ago, but didn't think anything of it until I decided to send a sim to the Romance Festival today & found the two overlapping. It was still like that when I checked a few minutes ago, even though neither festival is going on.

I just tried repairing the game, that didn't work. There are no mods or CC in my game & I clear the cache files after every play.

    Other simmers have also been having this issue. The next time that a festival is held there, have your sims remain there right until the end of the Festival until all the items disappear.
