Romantic interactions involving leaping into the arms of another Sim

Hi everyone! So I noticed that certain parts of romantic interactions don't play out between some Sims, specifically during interactions where the Sim would leap into the other Sim's arms. For wedding proposals and the "Check Hotness" interaction, I've noticed that male Sims can't seem to leap into the arms of another male Sim. I don't know if this is intentional or a bug, but I swear I've seen screenshots of two male Sims doing this before, so I'm very confused. I think it would be really cute for my Sims to do this, but I just can't seem to make them have that interaction with each other! I did make a bug report about it, but nothing was ever done with it, so I'm starting to feel like this maybe isn't a bug. I'm not sure though.

Have any of you noticed this? Does it do this for two female Sims as well? I haven't tested it with two female Sims yet.

    Unless those interactions are from a pack I don't have, I'm gonna guess they're from a mod.

    Yeah, these sound like modded interactions. I wish we could "check hotness".

    I have only seen the check hotness interaction when I unlocked it by playing as a doctor.

    Oh, you're right. I've only ever played one doctor, and he had that option as well. I had completely forgotten.

    Male sims will jump into the arms of a male (or female) doctor sim using Check Hotness:

    This interaction is available at doctor level... 4 I want to say. Don't quote me on that though

    Male sims will not jump into the arms of another male sim if proposed to. They also won't jump into the arms of a female sim if she does the proposing

    Thanks for the info! I thought I saw some screenshots like that. In my game, male Sims won't do the leap into arms part at all during the Check Hotness interaction, and I don't know why. I've tried repairing the game, but that didn't help either. Do you know of any reason why that could be happening?

    I was disappointed the first time a male Sim didn't jump into the arms of the person proposing.
