You would have to build the room on its own (or download it from the gallery if you have it already), put the roof you want on it, then save it to the gallery as a lot instead of a room. To use it later, you would have to download that lot first, then build around it. It's the only work-around I can think of anyways.
Yeah it's for a build challenge, so now I've uploaded it as a lot in the gallery as a "Look this is how it looks the best" and am gonna have an official entry without the special roof uploaded as a room! Thanks for the help guys ^^
(Must say btw it would be a great add-on since some rooms would be so much better with a special roof or like a skylight with fencing (which doesn't save when uploaded as a room))
