Satisfaction with TS4

I will say I skipped sims 3 until after sims 4 was already out. But could not get into it.

I still miss a lot of sims 2. I loved that game. What I would like them to add to the sims 4 off the top of my head the chemistry system and memories.

But overall I still get enjoyment out of sims 4.

I'm satisfied with the Sims 4. I've played all the iterations but only really liked the Sims 2 and 4.

Sims 1 - Didn't like it cause it had no aging and I couldn't see the point.
Sims 2 - Loved every minute of it.
Sims 3 - I disliked the graphics and how the sims looked but most of all hated the extreme lag that was always present.
Sims 4 - Had a very bad start for me but has improved enough to become my favourite version so far.

Sims 1 <3 - super fun. wouldnt play today because i like sims that dont look like the stuff of nightmares.

Sims 2 o:) - super duper fun. perfect sims game. at the time . would not play now because i like updated, 2019 graphics. Even if they remastered it though, I would still dislike the limitations in CAS and the lackluster worlds.

Sims 3 >:) - "everyones favorite sims game", except mine :D wow. would play today occasionally because graphics are semidecent but CAS is bad. and the sims themselves arent convincing as life simulators . the eyes are vacant and the "skin" looks like wax. i get house of wax vibes when im playing this. the toddlers look like demonic entities from the h*ll.

Sims 4 :p - initial reaction: beautiful art style, very striking visually. this is going to be fun to play because it looks so good. i played the demo. whoo! i like this. then i re-focused on real life. because I had other real life stuff going on. bought the base game then more packs...still having fun. theres some stuff missing, but other than create a style, im not bummed out over it. fast forward to today, feeling a little lackluster about it , because the developers arent doing the most they can to make this game truly great. i feel like some spark is definitely missing. but this version has my favorite sims characters so far in the series, even if the gameplay features they add arent all that great upon further inspection. I still have hope one day there will be another EP like Seasons that is truly amazing and in depth. I also hope they continue to add "systems" like the Club one from get together, that make the game more practical, fun and run better. The club system is incredible <3

Even though they're of the same franchise, I try not to judge one based on the others. I loved TS3, played it everyday. Now, I love 4, and play it everyday. If the mood strikes, I'll go back to 3. It all just depends on my mood. I will say this though, after playing TS4 so much, TS3 sims are kind of ugly...lol.

Liking sims 4 doesnt mean we dont have criticisms for sims 4 either. Because I do. I am also not completely satisfied. Theres way too much skimping and cutting corners for me to be all euphoric. Builders and people who are unsatisfied with the current lack of design and decor options are ignored. I mean im really let down that they hyped up so many players for getting 350 new swatches only to come to the realization, that its not for furniture, bedding , counters , objects around the house or anything like that, but only doors. Thats a real clunker, if you ask me.And I dont understand why they didnt make it clear that alllllll those swatches were just for doors/windows to match. Because believe me that is NOT what people were thinking and becoming all giddy over @SimGuruLyndsay @SimGuruGraham

I bought (or had my father buy, actually :lol: ) the original game on release, and did the same for The Sims 2. I tried The Sims 3, but it didn't fare well against The Sims 2. Both of them took a long time to load, but with one I could create my own towns and had extensive mods. Even with expansions, The Sims 3 never took fire for me. The Sims 4, however...I've logged almost a thousand hours in it in the past year.

For me it's very satisfied when compared to past games. It's the favorite of all the games to me and has been for a very long time once the nostalgia wore off for the first two games.

The game works well and very smoothly for me. Bug wise I really don't see much difference all games have bugs there is nothing currently happening that I can't work around easily.
I love the way they are doing packs vs in the past. To me the general ideas of the packs are more cohesive and make sense. Then the idea is broadened with art work, animations and game play all making the focus of the pack very solid to tell a story with. Like in the past I couldn't make the kind of complete character I can now once the pack drops that has all the stuff I need to do it. I understand it's a wait but I'd rather each idea or part be fleshed out than sigh when the pack drops and know it's done and over and I won't be getting more later.

I know we will continue to get more content for some time so I won't say that certain content will make me more satisfied because I feel it's coming. I guess what would though will be continuing patches. Making the gallery easier to use or handle as it gets glutted with player creations. Letting us know that when this game ends we will still have support and some ironing out of lingering problems for awhile.

I would also be one very happy simmer if they introduced a fear emotion or at least more for modders to work with if it's against some principle they still carry for the game. It would also be nice to have some sort of attraction system if done well and some revamping of emotions to make "fine" be more of the norm even with nice furniture/decor. I would exclude turning on auras for that by the way. I think some players would like their sims to always be happy and wouldn't want to work hard every day to do that and it would be a blow to those that enjoy this aspect of the game to change it without having ways to maintain how they like to play. Maybe certain traits could come and play a role in that? It's over my head, I'm not a game developer. I'll just be happy to see these things in my game. I've avoided modding them in and I do know the mods are out there. I guess I will fall back on that one day when the game is done if it hasn't been added in.

Same about everything.

I have played them all, and save The Sims 3, I enjoyed them all. Were I to give them a ranking it would be.

1. The Sims 4
2. The Sims 2
3. The Sims
4. Superman 64
5. The Sims 3

My first Sims experience was Sims 1 for GameCube. I have never played Sims 2, and only played Sims 3 very late in the game. I enjoyed Sims 3, but my computer just couldn't run it well, so I ended up switching to The Sims 4. I haven't done everything you can do in The Sims 4. I very recently got Jungle Adventures, Vampires, and Laundry Day (all within the last 2 months) and still haven't done much with them yet! I haven't even experienced all Base Game has to offer, and I've had the game since 2017 and have nearly 1700 hours in it (granted, a great number of those hours is me leaving the game up and falling asleep, or forgetting to close it, not me actually playing!) And Island Living is about to add so much more to do! So I'm really kind of baffled by all these people who say "there's nothing to do" or even worse, "I can't play this game without university". I still haven't even fully played the Strangerville mystery yet.
