Hi guys, i have been thinking to ask you this for a long time. But it is just me, or does anyone else have issues with the scientist work. I never get anything done when playing the scientist at work. I just get stuck, i do not seem to get all the options on thous machines to work so i can get what i need to bee done, done to go forward...so i end up with an ending saying, you could prestige better...It happened to many times so i lost interest in taking the scientist job as a job for any of my sims...So i only choose to bee a nurse or a cop, since that works better and i can get somewhere in that job...

It is that machine that you sometimes, have to talk with...That large one....Not the one that you test samples, but the large one, there are two of this large tall machines in the lab...When it says I have to talk to the machine, that option is not available on the machine,since that option is grey...

What sort of things do you get stuck on?

I am playing the science career at the moment, I haven't had any problems yet but am still fairly low level.

The invention machine, or the machine where you make serums?
Or is it something else.

The only problems I'd ran into on the Scientist job was when I started it when I was a Vampire.
Having to run around in the sun gathering minerals wasn't very conducive to... staying alive.
But the machines all worked fine for me.

It is that machine that you sometimes, have to talk with...That large one....Not the one that you test samples, but the large one, there are two of this large tall machines in the lab...When it says I have to talk to the machine, that option is not available on the machine,since that option is grey...

It's possible the machine is broken, if the option is greyed out. Try looking for a repair option when you click on it.

My sim recently reached Level 10 in the scientist career. I do remember having to repair the Invention Constructor a couple of times.

Oh, ok I will have to try to see if i could fix it if it is broken. I let you guys know, next time I play sims 4. I am having a small break from playing sims4 now at the moment...

Please note: The first day you join the Science Career, you will get a tutorial, during this time you only have limited functions, and than after that all machines should work after you complete the tutorial. The invention machine. The invention constructor should work properly after your first day. Sometimes for it to show all the options you need to wait for a job in the task menu for it to work right. If the chat with the invent constructor is grayed out your socialization settings is too high.

I don't remember their being a tutorial. Does it say it's a tutorial when you start?

I do find myself staying late n the scientist career (new to me - literally had it like a week maybe) but in order to get things done to "ace" the day I find that the extra time is usually needed -more often than not-
It could be that I'm just a total newb and doing things in the most unproductive way
